So do you think after the AWB sunsets, Glock will import the G17 Pro?

Might be a nice addition to the collection.

Glock 17Pro
Available only in Finland, the Glock 17 Pro has some unique features not found on any other Glocks. It's a standard 3rd gen Glock 17 plus:
Maritime spring cups
3.5 lb connector
Extended slide lever
Glock night sights (TriLux OEM)
Glock extended barrel w/ threads
Plus 2 magazine extension
Recontoured magazine release

All parts Glock factory installed and the G17 Pro cost only $80 more than a standard G17.

Other than the high cap mag, why couldn't they sell it here now? I thought they sold something similar to divers for shark protection.

I wouldnt care so much about the Pro, but I am very interested in the magazine release. I think i saw where you can purchase them, but I would probably **** up my frame when cutting it

Is the threaded barrel for a silencer or is there another High tech device that you hang (excuse me, THREAD) on there?

I don't know what the threads are for. I have been told that some European countries like silencers because it reduces the noise pollution.

You could build one similar, but not at that price. And I'd really like to try that magazine release....

The threads are for a suppressor, a much more common thing in Europe, as they are mandatory in some places for target practice. We are one of the most restrictive countries on suppressors. (Shhhh...)
You could get a bunch of parts, and an aftermarket threaded barrel from Lonewolf (threaded either for real or fake suppressor, they're different threads) and have one yourself. 'Course the barrel wouldn't say Glock on it. Get a factory 17+2 mag from Lars or someone in the GT Classifieds. Your imagination's the limit.

As to the mag release, you could take the mag release OUT & just recontour it yourself to round the forward corner a bit, without harming the frame.

Looks like threaded G34 barrel to me. I wonder if glock would sell the barrels? My 17 is already set up like this, less the barrel. I guess you could obtain a 34 barrel from Glockmeister, have it threaded and refinished.

I would like to see a Glock 21 Pro!!!!!

Answer: Because we like Glocks and Glock likes us ;)

I don't believe that there are any legal problems with Glock's importing the G17 Pro. Of course, there have never been any legal reasons for Glock's not importing replacement mag bodies for pre-ban mags.

Mine is already set up like that less the mag release, barrel, and +2 mag extension. That is really cool that it only costs $80 more. With the AW ban sunsetting, maybe we will see it here soon.:)
