Buyers beware...

I purchased a box of Winchester Hollow Point ammo (230 gr) at walmart and had several jams with this at the range. No jams yet with any other ammo, so I presented the anomaly to my local dealer. He ID'd the ammo without any help and said to never use again as they are "seconds" any body else have similar experience?

I'm carrying the Winchester White Box 230 gr JHP in my G36 right now. Never had a problem with it.

I've shot over 2000 rounds of winchester white box through my g30. I did have a couple failures to feed where the bullet hit above the chamber one day. Never had another problem with the functionin gof my G30 other than that one day.

Out of 300 rnds of Winchester White Box and had 2 miss fires. No jams or anything else though.

Sounds like my experience is not out of the ordinary...
I guess I may have panicked...
I am carrying Federal Hydrashok ammo now and have not had any repeat performances....

Maybe I need to polish the load ramp...

Since this is my CCW, I don't want to take any chances.....

I don't know if it is really nessasary to polish the feed ramp, but I did mine, and I haven't had any failures at all, even with WWB. I've shot maybe 500 or so of them with no problems. I heard polishing the feed ramp isn't needed, on Glocks, but oh well. It sure didn't hurt anything on mine!! When I first got my G30, I had a couple "fail to feed", but it was my fault(limp wristed the dawg), No problems at all since I figured out how to hold the big boy!!!!

WWB has had some very bad lots lately but it looks like most of those bad lots are getting used up and disappearing.

A few months ago there were people complaining about it all over the net and I personally witnessed two squibs.

I'd be sure to check lot numbers before trusting it for some time.
