Got my second CMP Garand today. What a beauty and deadly accurate, as accurate as my Danish VAR Garand (1st). I am totally impressed with CMP, great prices and good quality rifles. Beats paying $600 plus for gunshow beaters. I guess this is more of a bump for CMP than anything but for those in doubt about buying from CMP, I highly recommend.

Ok I have been to the website and I would love to purchase an M1 Garand. Those Springfield Armory rifles are expensive.

What is the grade and how much did you pay?

The CMP has always been luck of the draw, and my luck must be pretty bad. Out of the last five rifles I've purchased from them, all but one was pretty rough. The best rifle of the group was a rack grade Winchester. Other than a worn out barrel, it is in far better overall shape than any of the service grade Springfields I've received.

I've seen some nice rifles come out of the CMP over the years, but I haven't been impressed with what I've received.

I've bought two nice Garands from DCM/CMP. Guess I was lucky.

Recently I bought one of the Kimber Model 82 Government .22 rifles and it is GEORGEOUS! Brand new as advertised and not a mark on it.

I'm a happy boy!

I got one of the very last CMP rack-grade Danish Winchesters. The finish is almost totally gone, and the barrel is absolutely ruined, but it should do just fine for my intended purpose: WW2 reenacting. A barrel this bad can't be harmed by shooting blanks.

I have an H&R service-grade USGI on order, and my dad got one of the Greek H&R service-grades that is quite nice.
