Which is a better a Springfield or H&R M1

Hi I was looking at the CMP site and aside from the 25 dollar differance in price are there any differances of quality between the Springfield and the Harrington & Richardson MIs?? Thanks for the help am about to dive in the M1 pool.:)

The H&R's are probably newer, but not necessarily in better condition. I just bought a Springfield that was fine. A few "character marks" but shoots GREAT!

H&Rs were generally issued to Police and guard units, so were normally not used hard and put away wet as the Springfields were!!

The late Springfield Rec., form 55-57 are considered the best by many.
