GNut 76,

I live in the N.KY area and would like to go to some self defense training that might include situations that may arise in home or otherwise. I'm in the process of getting my CCDW permit as we speak, just waiting on the permit now, testing is done.

I'm not a LEO but still would like to be as prepaired as possible. I;ve been shooting for 2 yrs

Any suggestions?

I haven't personally been through formal training yet. I've been shooting since I was 8. A good place to inquire would be your local range. There is supposed to be a new range opening up where Ray's used to be in Louisille. It's going to be run by the same people that run the new range in Lexington. Can't remember the name. Don't know if it's open yet FYI

I can't recall the name of the range however it is run by Julie formerly of Ray's. Unfortunatly the prices are still like Ray's however they are very nice. They offer 3 or 4 different advanced carry classes that you may want to look into.

Maximaking,

I currently own a 23 and have been cosidering getting a 27 for easier concealment. The 27 has a 1" smaller grip and 1/2" shorter barrel. I have large hands. I wonder if I'll be able to hold on to that small a weapon. I'm very happy with how i shoot the 23. How do the two compare in recoil?

Let me know your thoughts?

I've bought three tickets. I've been trying to scare up new GT members from local shooters in my area and I've told them about the raffle.

I really appreciate Eric and Glock Talk. Beleive me.

What's more, I'd be willing to subscribe to GT for $30 a year, outside of raffle tickets.

Additionally, I've tried to make a contribution payment but the credit card payment link is broken and Eric is no longer accepting PayPal.
