How about "The Greyhound" for the G36?

It's reaally skinny, anemic almost, and it's really fast......to run out of ammo.;f

Just kidding. :)

Yeah... The G36 can stand some good natured ribbing...;f

I just wish more people made holsters for it.... :soap:

I buy almost everything I get from Midway and they carry a Fobus OWB for what I'm pretty sure is all models of Glocks but the G36. The G36 still doesn't get much respect. Fobus makes it... Midway just doesn't carry it... :(

Not to worry though... I'm predicting that The Little Big Gun will one day be the best selling and most popular Glock. The world has been looking for a reliable, lightweight, thin, small, practical and reasonably inexpensive 45 ACP, with low to reasonable recoil, for a very long time.

There have been a HELL of a lot of failed efforts to supply that to the public.

That gun has arrived in the form of the Little Big Gun but the news has been slow to travel.

I never thought it could be done and had turned to the diminutive and anemic 9mm as my defense cartridge but always felt undergunned. Enter the G36 and I hadn't even heard of it when a buddy of mine talked me into trading for his.

When it arrived I can clearly remember my wonder at it's slimness and the way it fit my hand so well for a single stack compact pistol. When I got it to the range I immediately decided that my 6 year long quest to find a better defense pistol than the G26 had arrived!!!

The G36 is a definite and unequaled pleasure to shoot and carry's like a 9mm.

I'm hooked and wonder how long it will take ANYONE to make a better defense and CCW pistol than the G36... I bet it won't be anytime soon!

Long live the Little Big Gun... ;a

Right now I'd say just order it directly from Fobus as it might be cheaper .. There is no tax and shipping is free right now.

I didn't know that Fobus didn't charge for shipping but it would still be WAY cheaper from Midway.

Fobus Price (http://fobusholster.net/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FH&Product_Code=GL36)

Midway Price (http://www.midwayusa.com/midwayusa/applications/esearch.exe/search?category_selector=all_products&search_keywords=fobus+glock)

Midway is a full $10 cheaper ($25 vs $15) than Fobus direct and since I order often from Midway the shipping will essentially be free due to the super light weight of plastic.. er... Kydex.... added to my order.... :soap:

It turns out its pretty close on a small order .. I just looked up a holser to compare between the 2 sites

Fobus: 24.99 (24.99 holster + Free Shipping)
Midway: 24.28 (14.99 holster + 6.29 shipping + 3.00 handling fee)

Depending on how much you order will really determine the savings .. I went with Fobus just because I needed left handed and most places I looked don't carry much for lefties so they loose out on my business :)

PlanetEd,

Midway doesn't have a handling fee.... Also... As I said in your quote of my previous message. I order other items from Midway and the item would not add appreciably to shipping of another order.

I don't know where you got the quote of a handling fee but I've been dealing with Midway for about 8 years and haven't encounteered one yet.

You must be thinking of Natchez.

I had a difficult time deciding whether to get a G36 just because of holster selection. After talking to a couple of holster manufacturers they all stated that for the most part a holster made for a Glock 19/23 will fit a G36. I went down to a gun shop that carried a wide variety of holsters and borrowed a G36 from their selection. All of the holsters I tried for the 19/23 fit the G36 very well, even those with retention devices worked extremely well. I have since orderd a Blackhawk CQC holster with the SERPA retention device for mine, but I almost bought a Bianchi Carry-Lock in the store because it fit the G36 so well.

When I processed the order it showed up in the total ..

Here is a screenshot of the shopping cart when its added in and if you look a the bottom it explains it. Its added to orders that are $25 or less.

†MidwayUSA attempts to keep our costs as low as possible so we can give our Customers the best pricing in the industry. Since we will accept any size order, there is a Special Handling Charge of $3.00 for all retail product orders under $25.00 and $4.00 for all dealer product orders under $40.00 to offset the additional costs associated with handling orders under these amounts.

As I said the amount you order actaully determines the savings between the handling charge and shipping fees. So yes the more you order from Midway then you probably do save more in the long run.

I carry my G36 every day in a Kramer Belt Scabbard originally made for a G22 from horse hide. Fit is perfect. Zero holster wear, so far in two years of carry. I actually like the extra inch of unused holster in the slide area. I have convinced myself it is somehow more stable.

All I can say is that the G36 will only run out of ammo if you have more than 6 BG's....

Come on guys. The reason you buy a 45 is so you won't have to fill up your pockets with those silly little 9mm rounds.... :soap:

One riot, One Ranger.... One Bad Guy, One 45!!!! 5 Bad Guys and then a reload. So what's wrong with that?... ;P

The G36 is everything the G30 and the G21 are but it's thinner, smaller, lighter, and only requires one reload to outperform them both unless you're using a G21 with a 13 round Hi-Cap.

btw... I have a G21 and love it but carrying it concealed is like trying to conceal a pickup truck... ;f

Long Live the Little Big Dawg!!!!!
