Took my carbine to the range this morning and it jammed after the second round. Failure to eject, bolt frozen shut. With great effort I could work the bolt, but it was hanging big time about a quarter inch out. Got it home and field stripped it and found a tiny crack just behind the extractor. Looks like it goes all the way through, and I guess it's bulging the bolt just a tiny bit.
Any estimates on a good price to get it fixed? I assume I'll need to have a smith do it because the headspace will need to be made right.
And can anyone recommend a good smith in the Atlanta area?
Thanks!
