Hey Guys... whats a good CCW holster for my G19... my old "no name" brand leather holster is wearing out after many years of faithful service...

I do not want IWB.

And of course I dont want to completely break the bank either.

Honestly, for OWB, I love my Fobus. Sidearmor or Comp-Tac might be better options if you dont mind spending the money.

I have a Fobus holster already but I find that it just sticks out too much... I shoot matches with my fobus hoslters and its great for the range... but not for CCW with my body type. Im a big feller... over 6'1 and 260 lbs.

I'm 6'3" and 270, but I wear fairly baggy clothes which makes a huge difference.

If the only consideration is money, a Fobus is fine. I have no complaints about mine. It retains my G19 well and has a lifetime warranty. Otherwise, you might like the Sidearmor modular OWB. I have one and like it very much. I bought it with the intention of also being able to use it as a crossdraw holster, but have never tried that.

Don't completely close your mind to an IWB holster. I wear my Sidearmor IWB holster almost all the time I am armed (whenever I leave the house). I carry openly when I go to the monthly IDPA match I shoot in. If you want to really conceal, an IWB is really a better option.

I like my Galco PLE paddle holster. Galls has agreat deal on them (if you don't mind dealing with Galls.) I got mine for $34.99 Item Number LP204 and got a double mag carrier in same color for $19.99 Item number LP242. So it's a pretty good deal on a good brand holster/mag carrier combo

The FOBUS paddle holds the gun in a lot tighter than the belt FOBUS, but I find that it's uncomfortable for long periods of time and definitely not good for sitting around like at the movies.

I use Galco FLETCH holsters for my G17's and G19. They hold the gun in tight and ride at about 4 o'clock for good concealment. And the price isn't that bad at around 60 to 70 bucks.

Good luck.

I use a Galco Concealable holster. I am very happy with it. Purchased for about $70.00 from local gunshop.

See: LINK (http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227821) . My thoughts are the same for carry in the G19.
