Does the absence of a firing pin block/safety in a gun (example: CZ85Combat) make it less suitable as a carry gun?

If you make a mistake and drop it, do you want it to go off?

With the FP safety intact, the trigger must be pulled for the FP to move to fire position.

For CZ type & clone pistol , yes. Not for 1911 type pistol, series 70 and earlier models as an example.;)

None of my 1911's have one.. never concerned me.

To pop a primer when the pistol is dropped, you'll need to drop it from a really, really high position. Don't ask me how I now and don't take my word for it. ;f

The problem is hitting the hammer in the down position with a loaded chamber. ;)
