i was looking around and saw some but i was wondering what the prefered 125 grain +p+ and the prefered 147 grain +p+ ammo brand is. iam still deciding between the two. post wich brand of +p+ ammo you like in these wieghts.
dont bother with 9mm its weak and usless it too small for self defense if you shoot someone and they have a gun the bullet will go right through them and they will shoot you in your huge muscles and you will live too but it will hurt.
forget the 9mm get the 10mm or .45 a 9mm can expand but a .45 doesnt shrink
Dont think ive ever heard of a 147 +P+, but with any luck Mike McNett will come out with some hot 147 grain loads when they come out in Sep.
Gold Dot, Golden Saber, Ranger T, and Hydrashok are all good expanders in any weight. Pick one, make sure its reliable in your gun, and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! Being accurate with your gun it the first priority. Having the best load is second. Pick a good load and shoot in every position you can think of (standing, one handed, laying down, sitting down, ect).
Personally, 124 Gold Dot and 147 grain Ranger T are my favorites. Both will do the job if you do yours.

In addition:
Winchester Ranger T (RA9TA) in 127-gr. +P+ and Federal Hydra-Shok (P9HS3G1) 124-gr. +P+ are two 9mm rounds still used by many PD's today.
Moreover, standard pressure 147-gr. Ranger T's (RA9T) are always #1 or #2 in every category of testing for 9mm. Don't get caught into the trap that more pressure is better because it's a combination of many things that makes a difference, with shot placement being the #1 priority.

i liked the looks of that winchester ranger 127 grain +p+. does anyone have any information on where it can be bought or any bullet performance data. and the 9mm will get the job done, most of the usual calipers will penatrate the same distance its just a bigger hole. i can shoot this 9mm good and iam going to carry it because it is lighter and more comftorable.

If you are serious,this is about the stupidest thing I heard this month. I have a 2 9mm, wear a mask and break into my home at about midnight when I'm home and you will findout just how "weak and usless" my 9mms are.
{the prefered 147 grain +p+ ammo brand is.}
I do believe federal ammo had a +p loading for the 147gr but I haven't heard of a +p+ loading in a 147gr load. They might had something out for the LE world but I never seen it.
LOL it was a joke. ;)
Wasnt this the guy who was complaining that the 9mm was weak becuase it didnt penitrate his huge triceps or something, and that the G29 was gay becuase it jammed?

Cor-Bon made some 147+p at one time, but I see that they no longer advertise it on their site.

I am all about the 147 grain Ranger. Those things look really dangerous and they will open up at subsonic violcites. That is what I carry
