A special thank-you to the 10-Ringers who volunteered to serve the 3-hour sobriety periods during yesterday's celebration. The Discovery, A&E, and History Channel personnel were impressed by the range of activity demonstrated by the 10-Ring Facility occupants.

Actually, Bull, G33 specified "the most powerful BABY Glock ..." (emphasis added). Since Glock does not make a "baby" 10mm, one must, unfortunately, fall back on a "lesser" caliber when confronted with the necessity of packing a baby Glock. You and I have minimal problems concealing a 29 or 30 on our persons; many others, including some 10-Ring stalwarts, cannot do so. Even YOU, newly converted 10-Ringer, would have to diverge from 10mm doctrine if you, for some reason, wished to carry a sub-compact Glock.

As I was forced to by the City to carry a .40 at one time, I recently became rather taken by Mike's 155 grain gold dot load. It was supposed to be humming along out of my G22 barrel at around 1300 fps, which isn't too shabby for a "short and weak" cartridge.

If the FBI thinks something is a good idea (or has thought so previously), wouldn't the logical course of action be to avoid it like the plague?

And we do, The FBI in their infinite wisdom chose to download the 10mm to the point that it really no longer resembled itself and thus was born the .40 Smith and Wesson. We 10mm fans chose to remember the cartridge as it was before the FBI mucked it up;f

Hang on though, you're making an illogical leap...

The FBI thought that the cartridge in its original form was a good idea, originally. Then they thought that the cartridge in a down-powered version was a good idea. They then decided that the shortened cartridge (.40) was a good idea.

By this dint, it can't be said that 10mm in its original form wasn't of interest to the FBI- just that the reduced version and the .40 became more interesting.

Hence, original 10mm still falls into the statement about the FBI thinking something is a good idea.

I have discovered that you really just like a good argument, so I will let you have this one, since your fond of the punier 9mm anyway;) I sort of wished the FBI had stayed with the full power 10mm myself, it certainly would have made it more popular, since most all knowing police admins pick up on what is latest and greatest with "the" law enforcement agency trend setter.;f

DEFINITELY prepare the spiced rum for the holiday events! Savoring new experiences is part of the 10-Ring outlook on life.

If any of the Condo crowd object to this, the Joint Penthouse/Dungeon Disciplinary Enforcement Team will haul them out back and work them over until they develop an appreciation for the subtly nuanced joys of a civilized existence.

Sammurirabbi,
With all due respect, as technical advisor, it is my technical advice that if the condo crowd doesn't like the idea, we ship them off, tied like a large charm(less) bracelet & permit our darling susan28 to use their otherwise worthless carcasses in place of sandbags, thereby reducing the possibility of flooding her current, battery-assisted, abode. Hopefully she has enough battery reserve to run the portable fridge & keep her slushies slusshy. After all NOBODY likes a thawed slushie.

.. letting myself in the back door of the dungeon, padding into G-Twins' chamber and rolling around on the rug to dry off, licking my fur, slinking over to the elevator and pushing the "up" button..

8 days down from a cat 1 coming east over land, but there it is. no flooding here infact they didn't even evacuate the island but apparent widespread wind damage across 3 counties including extreme power outage.

we came out unscathed though, thanks for monitoring the current during radar silence ~hg

slushies were hastily consumed upon lights-out to prevent waste so initial impact is bit sketchy, just a hurricane in the morning followed by 8 days of lovely cool autumn days outre-grid.

did someone mention buttered rum and free sandbags??

Just the opposite here- restaurants and bars have complained enough about decreased revenues, that the State was (more or less) forced to come up with a system to allow for permits to continue to allowing smoking.

The fact that the permit will take years to obtain (hence, none have been issued yet) and requires a significant, ongoing expenditure of time and money to obtain, makes it unlikely that any will be issued to businesses that actually need it.

Bars are especially seeing difficulties because of the law.

VN350X10
11-05-2005, 23:10
Face it, a lack of smoking WON'T stop people from making bars a lucrative business. Bartenders are kinda like farmers. If you say you're not making money, you're either a liar or a real poor businessman.

Face it, when folks are depressed, they go to bars to drown sorrows. When they're happy, they go to celebrate !
Either way, the bartender makes his Jaguar payment.

very very close to maduro, I find (for the most part)less difference going maduro to oscuro then going candela or ems to maduro. They seem to be a bit more 'oily' aroma's a bit more intense. overall a little more potent, good good stuff ^c

I have not forgotten my pledge to relate my reaction to G33 passing me in the post count sweepstakes. I do, however, need to work up the courage to admit that, on THIS issue, an inebriated 10-Ringer (pardon my redundancy) showed greater insight than I in the appreciation of the subtle nuances of the situation. Give me a little while longer to resolve the internal conflict this causes in my psyche.

S28: Look, over there, it's a man in tights with a gun! ~`c

Me: Yes, little lady, that's right! I'm a HERO! <c>b

Rabbi: Do you have PROOF that you're a good guy? ^8

Me: Why yes, I have my Hero ID Card! ^c

Uncle: That's your carry permit. ;Q

Me: EXACTLY! And I have a Hero ID BADGE to go with it! ;D

Bullman: Ya know those are illegal in New Mexico, right? ;R

Me: :soap: Yes, yes, I know... quite a few states don't allow HEROES to do their thing ... but that will eventually change! We're converting more and more anti-Hero states every year! Why, we're about to make Wisconsin a Hero State! With the power of... (Bus passing by makes conversation unintelligible)... and it'll be official, Wisconsin HEROES will finally be able to fight crime in their neighborhoods... (Tractor-trailer passing by)... and mom's apple pie! ;?

G33: Hi guys! Baby got front ;f

Me: Kryptonite! ;G ... ~fnt~
