in other news i am pleased to announce that i have captured the Palm Beach Princess Skeet Shooting Title for the Penthouse in a glorious win of their onboard tournament! there's nothing for the wall because the prize was 2 free drinks but it was pretty cool they had a nice Wingmaster so i was right at home but the damper was they only let one person (and the attendant) on the shooting deck (below the pool deck) at a time so no one can see you shoot (but they can see if you hit). still, at $1 a shot compared to what we lost in the casino it would've been cheaper to shoot all day

Now that the 6000th post has been achieved, and S28 has returned to enlighten the primitive 10-Ring mentality (pardon my redundancy) on the subtle nuances of blasting on a cruise ship, I can return to the administrative postings which are so vital a part of the 8:40PM routine.

We Dungeon Types are, of course, closely tracking the "Imbalance" research now being conducted by Tazz and Unkle. The concensus of the scholarly elements within the Dungeon Admin structure: this research effort is worthy of a trip to Stockholm!

We do have one, admittedly mild, criticizm of their research paradigm, however:

Actually, to "monkey" on the 6000th post, I'm sure is some sort of violation of an esoteric rule of the Dungeon-Penthouse service agreement. Uncle may be in trouble. I'm sure Rabbi has Mongo researching this, which is why we probably haven't heard from Mongo in awhile.

Actually, MMA, to "monkey" on the 6000th post is a FULFILLMENT, not a violation, of an esoteric rule of the Penthouse-Dungeon (attention to the word-order protocol, MMA) service agreement. Most of the Scholarly protocol-type Dungeon Teams are diligently seeking a proper REWARD for Unkle for his achievement. Mongo is not participating in this effort; he is outside crushing ... whoops! I mean PICKING ... flowers for presentation to S28 and the Geezies.

Unkle, it may actually be the 10-Ring version of O'Henry's "The Ransom of Red Chief". The Gypsies might have kidnapped him for ransom, but then found he was so much grief that, not only did they waive the ransom, but actually PAID the 10-Ring to take him off their hands!

If this turns out to be the truth, the Dungeon will waive the usual embezzlement rate on this particular transaction. The literature gurus in our organization were particularly insistent that this be done.

Ahhh, Grasshopper! It is clear you require formal initiation into the subtle nuances of the 8:40PM thread. Fortunately, you are a 10mm shooter; this makes it acceptable for me, in my capacity as Senior 10-Ring Dungeon Resident, to take the effort to instruct you.

Years ago, the 10-Ring was formed. It was "formally" limited to 10mm shooters. I, a lowly 45acp, and NOT a 10 shooter, was relegated to the 10-Ring Dungeon to do penance for my temerity in claiming membership in so distinguished an organization. Being a resourceful type, I used my ample time in the Dungeon to build an administrative structure worthy of the superb 10mm caliber.

The 8:40PM thread came into existence years ago; it has become the de-facto bulletin board, humor thread, and administrative notification source for the 10-Ring organization. The acknowledged hangout of the 10mm shooters is the Penthouse. Those of us who do the admin work, maintain the partying and beverage operations, and run our successful embezzlement efforts, constitute the Dungeon operation. The Dungeon operation, while low in formal status, is a hoot to be in.

More later, as your orientation continues.

That opinion by the common rabble in the outside world carries little weight within the 10-Ring sphere.

Besides, even if you are not funny, you can serve as a setup guy feeding straight lines to the Penthouse and Dungeon repartee' professionals. Such straight men are more valuable than many give them credit for.

Bullman,
When it comes to cigars, Costa Rica is the new Cuba. With the long U.S. embargo & the loss of the help from Russia, Fidel hasen't been able to import fertilizer for a long time. Soil conditions are very poor & a lot of good seed stock has made it's way to Costa Rica & the Dominican Republic. Supposedly, the best wrapper now comes from D.R.
If susan28 doesn't need back up, deploying Mongo on a cigar run just might be the best Christmas present we could give ourselves...and the Dungeon, of course.

note to engineer151515......

1) you must of missed the dispatch from susan28...her covert insertion into Costa Rica went as planned; If she doesn't require backup, Mongo is standing by for a year-end cigar run.

2)suspect last person w/leopard is now kitty litter, don't sweat it, he was from the Penthouse & therefore expendable.

3) temp. monitering is CRITICAL, but not as important as level check. Suggest new digital measuring equipment to replace older analog type. Having sammurirabbi as a taste/temp. monitering device incurs too much "loss" in the proscess. New insturments can be written off as capital expenses at this time, close enough to end of year so as to not harm balance sheets.

4) since I'm already meeting G33 in chamber for a DNA removal session, I'll voulenteer to deliver tanning lotion.

Have a beer my son, come on in, kick your shoes off. Now I have noticed from your sig line you are fond of well, that sig caliber. Not bad, you have potential. What do you think of the 10mm. Actually, Gee-twee-twee, rephrasing your question would resolve your dilemma. Your esteemed position within the 10-Ring means you do not NEED info. However, your self-esteem means you WANT info, irrespective of any actual need for it. Therefore, the question/answer pairing would be: (Question) Why do I want info? (Answer) The question is irrelevant; it is sufficient to state that I WANT IT!

This quaint bit of philosophy has been brought to you by the Dungeon Semantics Evaluation Team, one of the many 10-Ring support units financed by the Dungeon embezzlement effort. We believe in delivering quality effort in exchange for our cut of the take.

Not sure about the other two, but Brooke's cigar may well have come from St.Augustine, FL.
Remember she was good friends with the late George Burns.
Old George was just about never seen without a cigar.
It seems that he had a personal special cigar made in St.Augustine, at a little shop , the "Infiesta Cigar Company".
The gentleman that owned it was a Cuban ex-pat, & a master cigar maker. Pictures of famous clients adorned the walls of the shop & he was proudest of his friendship & customer relationship with Burns. Numerous photos, mostly autographed were on display. Sadly, the old cigar maker passed on & his company was bought by a concern based in Miami.
They still (to my knowledge) have the store in St.Augustine & the cigars are still made by hand, out in the open, so customers can see & appreciate what goes into making a fine cigar.

Infiesta Cigars
59 St. George Street
St.Augustine, FL 32084 ph#(904)824-6922

This was only about a mile or so from my parents retirement home in St.Augustine, & I did frequent the shop on the few visits I made to see my folks after retirement.

Closest thing to a genuine Montecristo I've ever smoked without being in violation of U.S. laws.

Of course, it may cause some difficulty as we could no longer use those bikini tops as filtration media for N*ppl* Sweat production, unless we only issued bottoms to participants, but then the tops wouldn't get that necessary "usage" that helps in the taste department. hmmmmmmmmmm.

A possible solution to this difficulty, Bull: Use high quality Olive Oil for the wrestling "lubrication". IMPORTANT 10-RING FACILITY ADMINISTRATIVE ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Dungeon Crew wishes to apologize to the 10-Ringers for last night's unfortunate delay in Chilled Beer Pipeline changeover. Normally, the Dungeon Crew can drain and purge one type of beer from a delivery pipe, and then set up a 2nd beer type within that pipeline, in 2 minutes 30 seconds or less. The 2 minute 48 second time it took us on changeover of the Number 4 position backup pipe feed was, in Dungeon belief, a gross dereliction of our responsibility to maintain the esteemed standards of 10-Ring Facility hospitality.

We wish to assure any 10-Ringer sober enough at the time to have noticed this delay, that the Dungeon Crew is executing the proper administrative reform to ensure that such a dastardly fall from logistic grace will never reoccur. Again, our apologies.

Getteth not thy bowels in an uproar, Unkle. The Dungeon food preparation service encompasses oak, maple, mesquite, charcoal, electric, microwave, propane, and gas cooking; we cover the full range of culinary capability. The statement that the gas grills were being cleaned should NOT be interpreted as meaning gas is used in ALL 10-Ring cooking endeavors.

VN350X10
01-31-2007, 21:08
This shall seem to mandate a severe revision in cooking protocall for all further Dungeon & Lagoon functions.
Whilst it matter not a whit to me as far as how food is mis-prepared for the Penthouse, they being rather stuffy types anyhow, to insult the succulent fare as presented to our guests of Lagoon & Dungeon functions is unthinkable.
After working with Mongo on several occasions, I know he prefers an open fire even in the kitchen ovens for roasts & pies, let alone outdoor functions.
When asked "gas?" he usually will reply "not me this time".

We will take this matter under consideration & give further study to the problem.

You know it is time for the taste testing of the extra batches of N*ppl* Sweat being brewed up before the big game and Engineer and I have been extremely dru.. busy in quality control making sure things are just so. Grilling is more Mongo's department anyway.

Deep in the bowels of the Dungeon, Engineer151515 is yelling over the noise and confusion of the Dungeon work-crew into a telephone

"Yeah..... that's right. But I was told the hot tub was gas grill heated. Well the Condo is complaining that it is heated with logs.

Logs.

Yes logs!

I don't know but for goodness sake don't say the word GAS!

I don't know. Find the schematics.

Look, all I know is I have a date with some chick named Wongo, Wanda or something.

W O N G O.

I don't know.

I can't hear you over this noise... but find out if the speakers were hooked up and tested.

T E S T E D.

Call me back."

If the therapy doesn't work, I DO keep an industrial size drum of Advil close at hand. Seems to be the only thing that works anymore. It was left over from my "de-coffeeing" period last June, bought enough for a normal lifetime supply. Might even last 2 years......

A cold brewski? ... What is this SINGULAR shtick! ... ONE cold brewski is counter to the generally accepted norms of 10-Ring partying behavior! Unkle, you're slipping!

Anyone else have a stuporbawl joke bet, get it registered now. Time is slipping away.

But dear Rabbi, in my neck of the Lagoon, up here near Cheezeland, a 1/2 barrel is considered "one brewski"

Bullman caught it without prompting. An excellent student !

When we say we're going to "pick up" a 6 pack, the "pick up" in question is the necessary conveyence to haul it home.

The Dungeon celebration of the Colts' victory will consume more time, effort, and alcoholic libations than earlier estimated. We therefore ask, Unkle, that YOU expend the 500 10mm rounds of the bet, instead of transporting them to us. Just let us know when you have completed this expenditure, and we will delegate volunteers to help you police the brass; 10mm brass is too precious to leave on the ground.

VN350X10

And here I was hoping that this bet would give you reason to acquire a 10MM, as 500 rds. of 10MM ammo is a VERY valuable commodity.

Very well, as you wish.

The formal payout will now become a pizza & a brewski.

Actually, Unkle, I am giving the 10-Ringers the opportunity to strike a massive blow against Dungeon morale. Visualize the effect if you 10-Ringers were to GIVE me a Glock 20 (along with a 6" aftermarket barrel and an assortment of post-ban hi-cap mags.) If I were to simply buy myself the 10mm you think I should own, then the 10-Ringers would go through life knowing they missed a major opportunity to change fate by converting an outsider to the true faith!

Don't worry about ammo in this effort. I still have the stock of NORMA 10mm ammo in my Beirut warehouse. So far, the insurgents AND the Israeli Air Force have managed to miss it.

IMPORTANT 10-RING FACILITY ADMINISTRATVIE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Listen up, you 10-Ring miscreants! (Pardon my redundancy.) We have an important financial issue for your consideration.

We Dungeon types had suspended embezzlement from the 10-Ring cash flow for a full week, in celebration of the Indy superbowl victory. That week ends Sunday at 11:30PM.

The non-embezzled funds have been stacking up in the auxiliary machine room. By Friday night, there will be so much cash in that room that the gravitational attraction of the money stacks will begin to cause disruption of the flow within the Chilled Beer Pipelines ... something about the Coriolis acceleration as the beer moves perpendicularly to the equator ... the technical details are more Eng15's bailiwick, I try to keep to the admin, financial, and linguistic aspects of the Dungeon operation ... if you want technical explanations, hassle Eng15 for them. Anyway, we need to expend that money heap NOW! We're not sure how to handle it; we can't use the normal Dungeon money laundering paths, since we did pledge we would not embezzle this week.

So what should be done with this cash? Should we expend it on infrastructure improvements to the 10-Ring Resort facility, or do you 10-Ringers want to blow the stacks on a truly momentous level of drunken debauchery this weekend?

Your call. Whatever you decide, the Dungeon will carry the admin load.

Gee-twee-twee, this is clearly a conspiracy by Gee-two-niner to inconvenience you! ... (Rabbi, G29 is only ONE person! How can she by herself be a conspiracy?) ... She has a "following" in the 10-Ring that will do anything she asks. While her followers perhaps could plead diminished capacity because of raging testosterone levels, they are clearly co-conspirators ... (Rabbi, for them to be considered conspirators, they would have to be sober; this is a requirement of the "right mind" requirement of a valid conspirator charge. How often is any 10-Ringer sober?) ... ... ... Hmmmm ... ... ... No conspiracy charge against Gee-two-niner!
