G33, are you familure with Dollywood in Tenn.? They use to have a area that allowed people pay to shoot black powder rifles, last time up there they had since quit the practice. I suppose its a sign of the times or liabilities I guess!

I went up there last year to hopefully see some snow, it did, but we had more here in Louisiana while I was gone, imagine that!

Yup.

It is a fact, that in America, there are more lawyers than truck drivers......
THEREFORE......If every truck driver in this country would RUN OVER a lawyer, we would be back to a reasonable quantity of lawyers & be able to get this country working again.

Not a novel or original solution, but a workable one.

The Dungeon Engineering Programming Department has begun simulating the DCS programming for the NS Expansion Project.

This might result in temporary power fluctuations, pressure surges, and equipment moans and groans that you don't usually hear from the Dungeon. At least, I think they are equipment moans and groans.

Wisdom will come in time to all those willing to achieve it.

Actually, da' Rabbi can afford to be gracious. Since my "upgrade" to full 10mm ownership and 10-Ring membership, I am still subject to "punishment" by Suze for failure to expend my reserve stock of 45 ammo at a timely rate. Somehow I keep forgetting to expend my monthly quota of 45 from my private stock, and Suze therefore keeps hauling me off the the Chamber for disciplinary action. Perhaps at some point I will finally comply with 45 expenditure requirments ... (Don't hold your breath)

VN350X10

If it warrents a Chamber Session from Suze, I'll go out RIGHTNOW and run off 500 or so hardball. After all, the Dillon 1050 is set-up in .45 ACP !

Rabbi, do you need any to keep your sessions coming ?

After all, what are friends for ?

Unkle, permit me the temerity to suggest that imitative actions may not be a viable path to gaining the attentions ... (or is it affections ... have to check my Victorian-era reference dictionaries) ... of so distinguished a 10-Ring member as Suze. I suggest you seek creative individualized methods to impress those you seek to impress.

I am certain that Bull had proper DSDC (Designated Substitute Donut Consumer) procedures in place during his absence. We all subscribe to this doctrine: If your donuts are not consumed, you are helping the terrorists!

If, by chance, such procedures were NOT in place in this instance, the Dungeon Logistics Apparatus can cover this deficiency. As tribute to Bull's distinguished contribution history to this thread, there will be no increase in the embezzlement vig to cover this support.

Had a good one occur last night that may give you 10-Ringers a chuckle at the Dungeon's expense.

After wrapping up the nightly embezzlement count down in the Lagoon Admin offices, we Dungeon Types were getting in some quality salacious sleazeball time watching women's beach volleyball on USN. Partway into this scholarly research survey, we noticed that all 4 of the players had "BRA" stamped on their (admittedly minimal) tops. We puzzled over what seemed to be a misdirected marketing ploy: Why put a BRA caption on something that is obviously already identifiable as a sports bra (or at least a clear visual equivalent of one)? The Dungeon Marketing Types were at a loss for an explanation.

In the back of the room, a hung-over 10-Ringer (pardon my redundancy) was on a sofa sleeping off a Lagoon party session. He briefly regained consciousness, listened to our discussion, grabbed a look at the TV, and yelled: "You Dungeon Num-Nutz! Both teams are Brazilian!", and resumed his rest-and-recovery (in)activity.

Intellectual honesty forces us Dungeon Types to acknowledge the superior perception by this marginally coherent 10-Ringer (again, pardon my redundancy) in this particlar instance. We thought that 10-Ringers would be amused by this incident.

News flash! New Orleans PD just shot and killed 15 year old boy armed with a fully loaded high powered rifle.
Good night you all!

Perhaps it is the replacing of one younger/dumber cohort with the NEXT younger/dumber cohort! I am 61; I can remember MANY generations of 15-year-olds acting dumb and deadly.

I hope the cop is at peace with his decision to kill or be killed; as far as I know, he did what he had to do in order to survive. Too bad the BG turned out to be 15 instead of 18.

Well, as usual, you are correct, I guess as I get older, it just seems they get younger as well. I recall acting sorta dumb when I was 15, but not quite so dumb as to point a gun at a police officer.

IMPORTANT 10-RING FACILITY ADMINISTRATIVE ANNOUNCEMENT

I will be caught up in a 24-hour mourning period. Cabela's has announced they are cancelling their planned Indy superstore.

I wish to emphasize that all administrative activity, particularly beer distribution, will be maintained at proper efficiency during my incapacitation. The Dungeon Logistics Operation has depth.

_The_Shadow
07-31-2009, 08:51
My most recent trip to Cabela's in Baton Rouge, LA, has left me with a sour taste for sales & service personnel. I was looking over the various pistols in the counter and came across a Glock 20SF, three guys were beating around the bush nearby. Not to be rude I waited till they had finished jacking their jaws, and as one guy was walking past me I asked to see the Glock. He then asked me, "Do you have a number?" I asked what number, he pointed way down the counter at a number dispenser. I gathered my thoughts and walk out of the store! Now this was an 80+ mile trip just to visit this store. I hope his job is secure in this ecconomic situation!

I will not purchase anything form them ever again!

I use to buy from Cabela's and Gander Mountain over the years, mail order. I may reconsider Cabela's again one day. But at the time, I was bummed out after pacing up an down the counter looking at all the stuff only to be told take a number!

All the fancy show place and service was a no go!

Permit me to announce the conclusion of my mourning period for the lost Indy Cabela's. I am now returning to my administrative duties within the Dungeon logistics and adjudication structures. Foremost among these issues will be 1) the continued consideration of the bazillion/Brazilian quandry, and 2) my continued lapse in expending my reserve stock of 45ACP ammunition in keeping with my newly achieved membership in the 10-Ring.

IMPORTANT 10-RING FACILITY SEMANTIC / LINGUISTIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Please forgive my faux pau in making two consecutive posts on this thread, but this is a significant announcement:

The bazillion/Brazilian quandary has been resolved!

Curiously, it was a demented 10-Ringer (pardon my redundancy) who was the instrument of this achievement.

We Dungeon types were sitting around considering this issue for the umpteenth time. During our adjudication effort, an inebriated 10-Ringer (again, pardon my redundancy) on a break from the Lagoon partying uncrossed his eyes and yelled: "How does it matter a flyin' rat's patootee in the 7th level of hell whether it's bazillion OR Brazilian!" He then grabbed another beer and returned to the Lagoon area, clearly revved up for an additional sequence of the sustained debauchery which is the hallmark of the 10-Ring outlook on life.

We LSPS(BBB)DPs considered this picturesqe event, and decided he was on to something. We declared the bazillion/Brazilian quandary resolved, and sneaked out to the Lagoon for some illicit partying time.

Thought you would be amused by this story.

All of you are forgetting a few, small, but significant details.....

1) Uncle has the MASTER key for TARDIS

2) TARDIS itself posesses an integral time travel function (remember who lost it to uncle in a card game !)

3) Uncle has & will use the time travel function on occasion.....the only prohibited usage is for profit /monetary gain. Personal pleasure IS an accepted usage !

Therefore: Tazz, I admit you DO have the remote for something. But that remote DOESN'T affect the control functions of TARDIS !

So if you will excuse me, I'm going to retrograde my body to it's prime, 19-26 yr. old status & enjoy the pleasaures of the DDouble beer DDispensing unit.
Sorry susan, but I'm also taking her back to a time BEFORE you implanted the KILLBOT module.

My FarmVille farm is not able to grow the barley hops for the bubbly pops! I think I need to bring this to the attention of the ZYNGA support team for possible consideration. This might be a source for the "NS" appropriations’ committee.

Although I have produced some great rice and wheat crops which could be used to produce some bubbly pop.

Has anybody mentioned the Babylonian Tupperware yet? It's simply too long of a thread to check.

Bullman
08-23-2009, 16:18
Well, it was going to be mentioned back around page 200. Mongo and I had used the Tardis to pick some up, and we were going to go into a side business selling this stuff. We thought we would give it a good test and see how it stood up to normal use. We put some stuff in one and put it in the freezer, it appeared to hold up okay, although it tends to get brittle and crack, especially if dropped after it is retrieved from the freezer. I figured no biggy, regular tupperware might do that. Well..... then came the microwave test and that is where things went down hill. Seems this Babalouie stuff has some sort of minerals or metal deposits of a heavier nature if you get my drift, embedded in its atomic makeup. When microwaved it has some rather unpleasant results, it took several months for my eyebrows to grow back, to say the least. Wasn't much good for Mongo's microwave either, and the geiger counter still hits the peg when we go near the kitchen. We decided we didn't want to go into the tupperware business. There was some nachos in the microwave at the time that are still glowing and we are trying to figure out how to put the cheese sauce in glass tubes, we may try the night sight business. Working out the details with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission now, maybe, Mongo isn't too politically correct about these things.

So, does Mongo still feel like he is just a pawn in the game of life?

If not hawking tupperware, then what? Perhaps you can give Bubba Gump a run for his money in the shrimping business or you could take a crack at the Iditarod.

Do you have any opinions about Beach Blanket BabaLouie?

Did you happen to take a temperature reading while your microwave was splitting atoms and making material for your new Night Sight product?

How did the nachos taste?

When I'm washing down food that has a lot of superfluous material amalgated into it (like melted plastic, broken glass, metal filings and ash) I actually prefer Gator Aid which has had salt added to it. I'm not sure why. I think it is Plutarkian thing.

I've traded the noise of open headers, for the quite sound of my diesel, sort of sneaks up on you, if you know what I mean! When the Turbo spools, she is on the move, not bad for such a heavy truck. 20MPg adverage helps too! Towing made easy also from this beast.

If it's under 20,000 GVW, it don't need no STINKIN diesel !!!

I'm about ready to start carrying a supply of rubber balls, large enough to stuff tight in a pick-up trucks exhaust. Getting so a guy with a "normal" truck can't leave his windows open without getting gassed !

And the 3/4 & 1 ton PU's, crew cab, dual wheels that are improperly licensed could be a full time job for a state cop ! These rigs are overweight on a "B" plate without fuel !
The "B" is what a normal 1/2 ton truck carries & you see them on FAR larger. Saw one today on a new Ford F-350 SuperDuty....and of course, no cop.
Just cause it's a truck, it doesn't have to smell or sound like a Rig.

O.K. off of soapbox....
