We care NOT about the bulges.....too much information...
However, I can possibly dispatch an emergency krewe to repair that tranny, I DO have professional technicians on my personal staff. They are fully trustworthy & can be supplied armed if necessary, from my personal bunker, supplied with an assortment of 10MM "tools" to provide their own cover whilst repairing said forklift.
Three of them are ASE Certified & all five were personally trained in small arms by myself.
And Mongo can join them if more cover is required.

sorry about double post, but just rec'd. word that my repair krewe is en-route, ETA is 35 min. & the forklift should be back up within 12 hrs. tops, less if the parts arrive with them. Most are std. items & they pack spares for most common vehicles in their transport vehicle.
Mongo is also on his way, should be there within +/- 15 min. of the krewe.

Fear not, Unkle! We believe you are caught in a misunderstanding. We do not refer to bulges of a salacious nature. Rather, we refer to the visual effect of stacks of c-notes concealed in an ungraceful manner on one's person during embezzlement operations. The Dungeon financial types run extensive training on methods of gracefully concealing stacks of money within clothing while leaving no abrupt contour defects that would tip off an observer that money is in fact being embezzled. Shadow seems to have missed these lessons; his loss.

Tater, your "printing" terminology is correct. However, down here in the Dungeon, with all the currency stacked all over the place, we avoid using that term. The Echelon and Carnivore surveillance systems might mistake us for a counterfeiting operation, and sic the black helicopters on us. While we would get plenty of notice of such an action, since we are party HQ of the Black Helicopter crews, it would still be hassle moving all the embezzled currency out of the way on short notice. We COULD make arrangements to hide the stash ... Whoops! ... I mean, properly secure the assets ... but properly implementing that contingency setup would mean increasing the embezzlement rate. This is not an action to be taken lightly.

Could be.

Mrs. Taterhead and I watched a couple episodes of The Walking Dead on Netfix last night for the first time. Weird how the plot began exactly like 28 Days Later... but I digress.

Mrs. Taterhead actually used the term "bug out bag" this morning when suggesting that we need something like that. She has also taken note of where all of the food distribution warehouses are around here. You know... just in case. Things must be getting serious 'round here.

The common-rabble-9-and-40-shooters are pretty much beneath comtempt when it comes to advance planning. The ideal coupling of 10-Ring vehemence in the 10mm caliber and the administrative acuity of the Dungeon administrative apparatus stemming from all those years of shooting the old slow .45acp, together make our preparations so comprehensive that we simply do not worry about the end of the world.

There are actually subtle nuances to even THIS situation. Her Majesty has appraised this LSMPS(bbb)DP of her preferences for handling this situation. Her Majesty is a gracious and understanding monarch over all she surveys. She will set aside the occasional lapse by one of her salacious subjects (pardon my redundancy) in becoming "fired up" by the use of a lowly 9-and-40 firearm, as long as said firearm inhabits the commendable section of that lowly class. The Dungeon types believe the term "HUMP DAY" to be vaguely depressing. We prefer the calling it the Inter-Weekend Transitional Day.

We DO acknowledge the role of precedent in such matters.

We might have a bit of a gentleman's disagreement here, because I find virtually nothing depressing about any term with the word "hump."

I know, I know...

A bit sophomoric...

Oh goodie! A bit of a gentlemen's disagreement! This calls for convening a Special Plenipotentiary Tribunal to resolve the situation. The partying in support of this scholarly function could be epic!

By the way, Tater, in my capacity as the guy who originally gave you the title in your sig line: You are granted permission to drop the word "Transitional". Your climb up the ladder is underway!

Yes. We prefer our Dungeon Admin types on the hungry, ambitious, and slightly savage side. On the bright side, the Dungeon pension setup is OVERfunded, every contribution YOU make is DOUBLE-matched by Dungeon Corporate, and your contributions are FULLY vested on day one! If someone is a skin-flint cheap penny-pinching shyster bastard, we don't want him on our admin staff; but then, SOMEBODY must do the work for the common-rabble-9-and-40 crowd.

IMPORTANT DUNGEON ADMINISTRATIVE NOTIFICATION

Solar flares may disrupt GPS function on Friday. Since a Friday in the 10-Ring Facility is a major party day, the Dungeon Admin Peons are taking action to prevent any inconvenience to the minimally coherent 10-Ringers (pardon my redundancy):

Dungeon guides will be posted at important locations within the 10-Ring Resort to assist 10-Ringers floating from one debauched party to another.

On important transit routes within the complex, the Dungeon people will rig guide ropes to facilitate inter-party transit. One such guide rope will be oriented toward walking traffic; another will be placed about a foot off the floor to assist 10-Ringers suffering from any transient mobility issues. We will maintain a lookout for anyone needing assistance exceeding these measures.

We shall provide admin and logistics support to 10-Ringers wishing to organize a dedicated "Solar Flare Celebration" party. We leave determination of theme and details to the 10-Ring participants in such an event.

Your homing instinct observation is noted; it is possible the Dungeon planning types did not take it into proper account.

One other item DOES come to mind, though: the consequences of the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21. Even if the world does NOT implode on that date, the possible reversal of the earth's polarity might foul up the finely honed instinct you have mentioned. Perhaps research of this possibility would be in order.

We will get Eng15etc to work on contingency plans for keeping the beer the proper temperature during the duration of any solar supernova.

Your dedication to team building does honor to the Dungeon administrative apparatus. Don't worry. The Dungeon financial types have worked up a graduated accelerated depreciation schedule for your outdated business cards that will knock the IRS on its butt with amazement.

If there are any of the incorrect cards left after these hijinks, you can distribute them among the 10-Ringers. They would have to be sober to notice the outdated entry, so you'll be okay.

A difficult tie-in for the DLU, but we are now intrigued with the problem. Consider this:

The general prison population has its own particular version of the General Theory of "Relativity". Blago's entry into prison on Al E's birthday will, of course, call for special commemoration efforts by disciples of "practical applications" of this greatest manifestation of scientific learning. And after GENERAL relativity is celebrated, there would still be SPECIAL relativity to commemorate. And if a Unified Field Theory is perfected during Blago's term, that would be one more application to celebrate!

Well played SR. Always to be counted on to close the big deals.

I stopped by the local big box MegaMart and picked up a few party provisions.

An extra large heavy duty plastic cup (Jimmy Buffet Officially licensed gear) near the rim of which I have drilled a hole. I also acquired a small length of rope to fasten a loop through said hole so that it can hang about my neck. I also picked up a permanent marker so as to claim ownership of the same. "Property of Taterhead" is enscribed so as to avoid any confusion regarding ownership. It would be appropriate to mark all other cups as, "Not Taterhead's." Misplacing a party cup is unsporting, so I have planned ahead.

I used a coupon and picked up a pretty sweet deluxe folding lounge chair with a foot rest. It has two cup holders, but of course I will only need the one. Maybe I will keep some pepperoni sticks in the other. Just in case.

So I am all set.

How are plans coming for the 15,000 post milestone party?

If you hang the cup around your neck, and also put it into the folding chair's cupholder, you're gonna fall down whenever you attempt to go fetch a refill. And everyone else will either have to carefully step over you, or trip and fall down. Because of these extreme safety hazards, it will be necessary to ban alcohol on the premises. :faint:

This just in: Major Scandal exposed in the Dungeon hierarchy!

The NFL investigation into the NO Saints bounty payments for hard hits on the playing field has slopped over into internal Dungeon administrative areas!

Enterprising investigative reporters have discovered a secret Dungeon reward system for inducing sobriety in individual 10-Ringers. Political necessity requires me to admit that there IS a basis for this heinous accusation. My stated defense: We have never been SUCCESSFUL in actually inducing sobriety in any 10-Ringer; this would, of course, knock down the charges from severe felony status clear down to simple infractions.

Any imposed fines for such infractions will be fully paid out of the Dungeon cut of the take.
