Hey guys,
When you carry your G19's with a Hi-Cap (Standard cap) magazine, do you carry it with 15 + 1 or 14 + 1? I have heard that you should not keep your mags loaded to max as the springs weaken more quickly. What do you think?

15+1 Mag springs are cheap!
In my case 17+1 with Glock +2 baseplate.
See Pic thread.

For long storage periods it has been recommended that you not fill your magazines to capacity but personally, i think its a matter of personal preference.

14 + 1 unless I'm coming to Dolly Wood, then it's as many as I can stuff in it.;f

I can agree to that. Can get quite dangerous fighting for a good seat at the theaters. :)

The G-19 is my current duty gun. I have a G-19 mag with only 13 rounds in it in the gun, and two G-17 mags with 15 rounds each on the belt. One of my previous duty guns, a G-21, had malfunctions when a spring went bad. Since then I load mags down two rounds.

15 + 1.

I replace my magazine springs every year.

Zero problems this way. :)

Unfortunately for me, the G-21 mag spring that went bad (and it may have been two magazine springs, this is back in 1997 so I can't exactly remember) was less than six months old from the factory!

I never load "+1"
That way if I have to clear the weapon,I have somewhere to put the round.
