I went to my local gun shop yesterday and picked out a sporterized Polish K98 Mauser with a nice padded sling and a Bushnell Banner 4x scope. I guess K98s are supposed to be 8mm, but it had been re-chambered for the 30-06 cartridge. Has anyone heard of this before? I brought it home and can't wait to go hunt some tin cans.
I like 30-06, I also have a sporterized Springfield '03 with a scope. It goes well with the K98, now, if I can only convince my girlfriend to go hunting with me - tin cans or otherwise. She's scared of guns and refuses to touch them. What a wuss. I don't know why I keep her around... oh yeah, she's smokin' hot!!!! ^7
Anyway, I'm stoked. Time to load up on 30-06 mil-surp!
