Here's the Iver Johnson "AMAC".
The picture of the cartridge going into the chamber is to show a friend that a .50 BMG will easily fit into a Armalite AR-50. Some conversions won't extract a loaded cartridge.

Very nice there harleystyles. Is your State Arms a shell holder?

Pardon my ignorance, I do not own a .50 cal yet. But isn't an Armalite AR-50 designed to shoot the .50 BMG?

Yes. Actually, it was designed to shoot the 12.7 X 108 Russian round. Anyway, I made that comment because a friend has a AR15 to .50 BMG conversion. He thought that all .50 BMG's would not extract a loaded cartridge.
The Armalite AR-50 was designed from the very beginning to be a .50 BMG. However, Armalite used the hotrod Russian round to ensure reliability. Once they were happy with it, the AR-50 was 'detuned' to the .50 BMG. :)
Thanks. That's what I thought although I didn't know all the history of the making of an AR-50. Thanks.

DeLandSkyjumper,
Yes, it is a shellholder action. It makes for a shorter gun than with a bolt action. mine has a 36" Lothar match barel and I average between 1/2 and 3/4 MOA with 750 grn Barnes match hollow points by TTI ammo.
I have a Cobb FA50(T) with a suppressor in ODgreen.

Robar RC50-F
So what does it cost to get one of these after all is said and done?
10k semis?
3-7k bolts?
I'm really interested..

That is a great question - another question is how often and where do you get a chance to shoot these?

Your numbers look about right. Figure $3,500 - $4,000 for a low end scope and rifle.

I'm happy with my AR-50. I wish that I'd bought it sooner. :)

A .50 BMG is not the most practical rifle to own. However, it isMORE FUN than the others. :) After owning a .50, I can't imagine living without one. I shoot it less than ten times per year. I always look forward to the next range session. My club's longest range is only 200 yards. Knowing that, I'd still recommend buying a .50. Soon, I'll take to a different range. I know that they have a 300 yard range, IIRC they might have a 400 yard range.
Call your club officers and ask if they allow .50's. Some don't allow them. My club only asks that I move my targets around so that I don't destroy their backstop. ;f
I just got back from a perfect place to shoot a .50 if I had one. I was up in the Missouri River Breaks NE of Lewistown, MT. The next ridge closest to us was 5 miles away and the closest house was probably 30 miles. You could really open up a .50 there and let 'er run.

Perhaps you have a cookie loaded that allows you to hit the specified URL while the rest of us can't. I just tried again and it still didn't work. Anyone else get to it?
Anyone else get to it?
It doesn't work for me.
I think that TexasT is correct; it's probably a cookie situation.

Yes, it seems he is,...damn it. Just cause I shoot tupperware doesn't mean I'm entirely up-to-date and modern. So any tips how I post it here? I have it on my hard drive,...that much I know. I can even find it. (I just hope it doesn't fall off one day.);4

Try copying and pasting the URL from the address bar onto the forum reply. Another question; do you have this photo album password protected? There may be an option in 'Account Options', or something similar, that would allow that. For instance, I have a photo abulm at www.photobucket.com. That album is password protected. I chose that option. However, I can still link directly to a particular picture. See below:

Good. There is another option. You can upload an image onto the GlockTalk server. You don't need webhosting site for this, only an image on your hard drive. Just above the 'Submit Reply' is the box to attach files. Select 'Browse', find your picture, select it, then OK that. That will upload the image directly.
I hope this helps. :)
So just look at this picture,
Very nice! :) I really like the camo! ;f
Sorry I'm such a goof.
There is nothing to be sorry for. I've asked the same questions. It takes a while to get used to file management. After that, it will always be easy.

I like that CQB .50.
I once straped a pistol grip shotgun to the foreend of mine for the same effect (kinda like the M203 on the M4's). Still kindof hard to clear the house with.

The only modification I've made to mine is I drilled a hole through the bottom rear of the butt, threaded it, and screwed in a 3/8 threaded rod with a foot on it. 8x32 Burris Black Diamond mil-dot scope on top.
Harleystyles,
How do you like the gun? Was thinking of getting one and was wondering what kind of feed back you could give on it?
Will be buying a 50 in the next couple of days. STUPID CALIFORNIA BAN!!! If you could let me know.
Thanks

I think that's probably the only way you can get away with saying "Here's my wife's..." and "big ass" in the same sentence and not get shot.
