Been thinking about a 50 for a few years, even have room (800yards) to shoot it at home (if I hire a bulldozer to make a much bigger backstop). But wondering what brands show the best accuracy in general? What is considered to be good?
I read a test in a gun rag that showed the L.A.R. Big Boar to be the most accurate of the guns tested. If you want to start cheap, start there. I don't recall a McMillan being tested though, and a lot of names (Serbu, Anzio) have come since then. Still, it's a good place to start.

lar's ar ok, but foul terribly, even for a 50. if you want low end price and top end quality, go with a serbu, armalite or state arms rebel. all are sub moa performers with the right ammo and a competent shooter. dont buy hesse or vulcan (same junk) pick what you like for your personal taste, budget and need and be happy. you cant hardly make a bad choice with the quality of the rifles that are offered currently.
