I want night sights for my G19.

It was downt to either Trijicon Novak style, or Heinie Slant-Pro Straight Eights.

I think I want to go witht the Trijicons merely because it seems most likely easier to me to quickly line up 3 dots horizontally in the dark instead of 2 dots vertically. Plus, the Trijicons have the white rings for daytime use as well. The Trijicons are also a hair cheaper, and aren't just sold from the factory only. (Or so I've heard about Heinies)

So, who has the BEST deal on Trijicons? I think I want yellow rear dots and a green front dot for accurate alignment in the dark, or when I'm not wearing my glasses.

Since this is for concealed carry, will the Novak cut serve me better than the standard cut?

Novak or standard? Best prices online or in the Dallas area? Ideas? Thanks.

No one has any idea what I should consider a GOOD deal on these sights?

Just my $.02 which you can adjust for inflation, but in real darkness 3 dots can get to be a bit of a jumble if you have any astigmatism. (Glasses left on the nightstand....?)

One of my 19's has just a single Ameriglo front on it for that reason. Have had 3 dots before as well & the next gen'l purpose Glock I bring home will get the Heinies (which I believe use Trijicon tubes) from CGR - the Straight-8's. The Heinies are also outstanding target sights. Might suggest you try 3 dots in a REAL low-light situation sometime if you haven't had the opportunity. :)

Do I have to send my Glock off to get them installed? And yes, I'm interested. I'd be interested in Slant-Pro Straight-Eights.

You don't have to send your gun to get sights installed, just the slide w/o barrel, spring, etc. I'm sure CGR will happily install them for you. If you've got a brass drift punch or sight tool, are slightly handy & also have a 3/16" shallow-wall nut driver & some red Loctite you can do it yourself.

If not, your slide in a small box w/some bubble wrap only weighs about a pound. Contact CGR, I'm sure Matt can tell you all you need. I understand the Tritium ver (Straight-8's) may be slightly back-ordered last I heard but you need to check with Matt at CGR. Highly recommended, though. :)
