I haven't had any issues with my 3rd generation G-19 yet, but I don't shoot hollowpoints, and as such, I'm contemplating picking up an aftermarket barrel and am curious as to whether they are cut like the barrels that weren't marked with the "1" and if so, which one (Bar-Sto, Jarvis, Wilson, etc.) would I get to get the older cut? For the record, I carry the G-19 with Cor-Bon Pow-R-Ball ammo, but I'd like to not have to worry about the whole last round nosedive thing.

Does any of that make sense?

I posted the same type of question on the Gunsmithing forum. Got the same answers you have (none). I wish someone could match up an aftermarket with an old barrel and a newer 1 barrel.

My G19 feeds everything with the factory barrel. What is the concern? I only read that .40 S&W chambered barrels had case head support problems. My 9mm will feed the Golden Sabers (big hollow cavity) that have a profile like the old flying ashtrays that Hornady made, infamous. I doubt that any aftermarket barrel could preform any better than my stock barrel. Is there something I'm unaware of? Let me know.............Mike

The main issue is that the new glock barrel for the 19 doesn't drop as far out of battery as the old style of barrel when the slide cycles back causing the rounds to hit the feed ramp much lower and hence, hang up occasionally when you're shooting hollowpoints. I've never had it happen, but I don't shoot hollowpoints. I was just curious because I usually swap out the stock glock barrel for a conventional barrel anyway so I can shoot reloads without any issues and I figured I'd get one patterned after on older G-19 barrel rather than the newer style one but nobody seems to know squat about it, or they're not talking...

I suspect that you haven't gotten many replies because most folks see no earthly reason to use anything other than stock barrels in their 9mms.
