doc,

ang hirap gamitin ng vv sa open gun hinde kasya yung 340 sa 9mm open ..sila taran butler at chuck bradley daw gamit 340 sa open nila ...takot akong isiksik na yung powder kasi sobra na pressure nun.. i tried vv 320 on my limited gun

180 gr
1.185 (used to be 1.200 ,pero whats the use of using more powder and a longer oal, parehong low pressure pa din naman yan sa 1.185)
vv n320 5.1- 5.2
win small pistol primers

PF 170-172

Good luck sa laro at sa open gun;)

ogiebb - Don't you have problems with your 40 OAL? Lots of shooter I know who loads for 40 make it 1.2 Madalas daw mag-jam yung 1.18.

no sir.. no problems with this set up in all my .40's..the usual OAL in .40's are around 1.125-1.137 (GLOCK SIZED or from factory)..actually gusto ko pa nga ibaba ng around 1.165-1.170 para mas faster mag feed and tipid sa powder...the only reason why people load them long is because ayaw nila kakalog kalog ang bala sa loob ng mag and mag tumble (like STI,1911 types) and also para mas low risk ang pressure ..yung set up ko din siguro na EGW sizing die, swager, lee seating die,and two crimp dies(dillon and LEE FCD) on my press also helps and kahit ok na yung set up i still case gauge evrything just to be sure...about the jams what bullets are they using? i switched back to MOntana gold kasi nag taas na ng presyo ang Zero's and the montana golds (round nose flat points) are very friendly to feed ramps...;)

thanks Doc, using original glock barrel??

yup! Orig barrel. It was a 2nd gen G22. Had to sell it last year to finance the purchase of my Para LDA P18-9.

I was using the 155gr heads earlier. The slide action was faster. Velocity was around 900-920fps. I was getting about the same PF.

But the 180gr heads shot softer and made it easier to track the front sights than the 155's.

Dito sa Pinas, the most popular PD pistols are Glock, CZ-75/85, Jericho, Tanfoglio, Bul Storm, Beretta, and Taurus.

Henry Swartout, can't believe you associate with him ( mabait si Henry). Kidding aside, I am getting some bullets from him this weekend. I use Zeros but I am almost out. Chuck of shooters connection is not sure if he is shooting TN state so I am trying some MGs.

Sorry to jump in, but if you're using Westcoast, make sure to use slow burning propellant. They tumble alot when used with Titegroup and VVN320 . I found that out in a hard way, I bought 6K of them, then ' proceeded to reload 2K with out knowing this problem. :( I use HS6 now for it. Some said WSF is good too.

Ogie, dre, thanks for the load data. Maybe you can do the same for VV N350 for that major 9? ;) Btw, any pics of that new blaster?

I'm also finally deciding to switch to 200gr for my Standard loads. My magic OAL is 1.160 for the 200's. Any longer and I get jams from the mags. Besides, I only need 3.8gr of N320 to make 175PF. Very soft shooting. ;)

hmm down ata yung hunt 101...eto yung kambal ng open ko wla pa nga lang cuts na pampa pogi at medyo mahaba yung compensator masyado.nak display ito sa table sa nationals.. this is cut down to 4.5 inches and weighs probably 36-38 ounces...masyado pa ako nahahabaan dito but it shoots sweet.

Mc,

ang sikip naman ng barrel mo 3.8 of n320??? grabe a tipid sa powder ;f ;f small rifle primers or small pistol?

Iused Masterblaster with V V and they were pretty accurate. My brother is using titieegroup and it is pretty good. Tom Stidham does not recommmend Titegroup due to a wide SD but my brither seems to like it.

Nice gun dre! Is that a brazos comp?

Yeah, bulm's right. I'm using lead. Jacketed is way too expensive for me and will seriously cut down my shooting budget if I use it. ;)

bulm540
08-25-2004, 18:56
Nothing wrong with lead ( just be sure to wash your hands), I used the moly coated 200s ( precisions) but he is not going to start delivering until September hence the switch to jacketed. Used lead when I was shootign my single stack.

thanks gawa namin yung comp sa garage ni Derek we got a lot of titanium left so diretso agad sa CNC at EDM machine..lead is ok just invest in a good screw driver and ice pick para sa lead deposits sa comp.carter's compensator spray helps a little also.its a personal preference ilike the accuracy of jacketed bullets (kasi kailangan ko badly yun he he he)..ill post the final pics once natapos na nationals at mga order...

bka next month pag natapos na yung project ko na open benta ko Edge ko at mag papabuo ako ng limited gun...short wide dust cover with a bushing barrel or the new sights on the barrel SVI (hybrid) is THE set up for a limited ....gun its the shiz nit;f ;f ;f ;f

I test fired an STI with a barrel bushing and short dust cover last weekend ( Rusty Kidd was the gunsmith). It was fast cycling but it had a lot of muzzle flip ( guy that shot it was bigger than me ). I think I am staying with my long dust cover. I like a heavy gun for some reason.

its also not very temperature sensitive as VV powders ...and for $95 on a 8-9 pound keg its helluva cheap..
