I've never used that before.

I always just clicked yes when the pop up notified me a I had a message. When I wanted to send one I went in through the User CP tab above.

i usually use the pop up now but i have to make sure my pop up blocker isnt enabled.
but now i always make sure it is disabled.

I had to turn off the "open in a new window" option because sometimes it jams my slow-ass computer.
