View Full Version : Another new kid (H&K 9mm) on the block
Hi guys.
I stumbled acrossed this, http://www.hkpro.com/p2000k.htm ,this evening. For those of you that prefer the smaller round it may be of some interest.
If H&K does their normal trick the .40 S&W won't be far behind.

It's thicker than the Kahr.. I'm not jumping on that bandwagon.
Besides, if I go bigger, it will be a SIG P239 in 40S&W

I looked at one of those H&K’s just a few weeks ago here… I can’t believe how short that barrel is for a gun of its size!!! ;P I didn’t take a tape to it, but was told that the barrel length was 2 inches… that’s what it looked to me though.
(The WAAAAY smaller Kahr PM9 sitting directly next to that H&K in the case had/has a 3-inch barrel… I do believe I’d choose the smaller PM9 as it would offer more fps using the exact same 9mm ammo when compared to that H&K…)

Brief search reveals best price on a new P2000 is $730, while the P2000 Subcompact is $799.
If I wanted a 2 inch barrel 9mm for $800, I'd just buy a Rohrbaugh.

My dad bought one of the two of my favorite dealer's first shipment. He told me the dealer was holding the other in case I wanted it. Price was $750. Held my dad's for a while then called the dealer and said to put the gun in the case and sell it to somebody else. The mag baseplate crowds my fingers really bad. Other than that just a chopped USP compact.
For concealment, I'd take any of my Kahrs any time.

Same here! (How about that flexible base plate though?)

Yeah, that is interesting. I wonder how well it holds up.
I was thinking that, if I had one, I'd probably try and get some LE USP compact flat baseplates. That would solve the problem (and shouldn't change the capacity - but who cares in about 12 days).
