I just bought a K9 98 Elite the other day. Took it to the range to try it out today and work towards the recommended 200 round breakin. I am impressed and delighted. I was skeptical a small little thing like this wouldn't be a handful. This is one of the best shooting guns I've ever had the pleasure of owning or shoot. Regret I waited so long to get one.
Just got k9 elite 2003. I feel the samw way. I honestly belive it is the best gun out there. My explanation is that people are recognizing Kahr for its micro carry guns like the PM9. My K9 is an all around gem that happens to carry nice. The pocketgun reputation is hurting their other guns sales including the the new T9.
They need to be able to break away from the whole pocket gun thing since it is getting old and just about everyone knows that dog by now. Once people open up to Kahr being a full lined arms company that makes great guns you can comfortably carry, they will kick ass. That is, as long as they get their quality control issues fixed.
The gun I just received, the K9 Elite 2003 with night sights and after, Lou Ferro wood grips. This is a serious handgun and around a thousand dollar gun. This is no .25 caliber street gun gambled in a card game. That puts this gun right up into the Kimber category Kahr has the opportunity to be the top quality American 9mm handgun co.

As soon as I got home from work today I setup the backyard range for shooting on the move and doing tactical reloads and such. Put 100 rds. of UMC 115gr. JHPs through this baby without any problems. I've got 454 rounds through this thing over the past 6 weeks and have not had a single malfunction. Solid as a rock. The stock sites really are easy to aquire. Nothing fancy, just that little white dot sitting on the little white post. BAM!

Let's see. I bought an E9, K40, stainless K9, and stainless K40. I guess that makes me a believer. Regards, Richard:D
PS I still have them all.

Yup, I love my K9 Elite 98. I've put over 700 rounds through it (all types of ammo) with not a single malfunction. A great gun really. But I just can't bring myself to buy a PM9....maybe someday.
I still find that it's weird that I am the only one in the world with a k9 Elite 2003. Anyone?????????I ask this question over and over again.

Check g_gunter, post just after your first one.
Thanks! It's just that I checked the internet and can't find anyone else with a 2003. I'd also like toknow why you would want a '98 over a '2000 or '00 over '03? Why would the factory not have new mk9 '03's but still have '98's. That's 5 years ago.

My Elite 98 was manufactured, as best I can tell, in 2003. It is still a valid model number on the Kahr website. I am not Kahr savy enough to understand the differences between the Elite 98 and Elite 2003, there appears to be a beveled magazine well on the 2003
I do have the beveled magazine well but I still can't find another person with a K9 Elite 2003. Maybe my gun is worth more money than.....;)
