This post is for Truglo T.F.O. sights owners.
Do not get any gun cleaners on your sights. Although it is not stated on the packaging, it is possible that the chemicals will melt the light pipes in your T.F.O. sights.
This is a thread on XDTalk.com that reports the problem:

So be careful if you have these sights on your pistol.
I'm not trying to start a flame war or talk poorly of Truglo, but I thought everyone here should know by word-of-mouth what others have found out the hard way.

TruGlo should print a large warning in their literature about which chemicals destroy the plastic and which don't. Brake cleaner will disolve some plastics, but won't disolve others. (Glock frames, for example)

Those are my sights everyone is talking about.
James, who owned xd-hs2000.com, whome I purchased the sights off of, has been in contact with TruGlo for me. TruGlo is unwilling to budge last I've heard. They still never responded to my original email about this from about a week ago.
It was just a simple gun cleaner _ i was spraying off the gun before I take a standard CLP to it. Think of it as spraying the loose dirt off your car before you wash it. I never focused any spray on the sights, they just caught overspray while I was spraying my slide down.
It wasn't until about a week later when I was re-oiling everything that I noticed the problem. I sent an email to the company, and to James. James contacted me the same day, and contacted TruGlo for me. I have even had a lengthy phone conversation with him. He has gone out of his way to keep me a happy customer. He has provided the best customer service I have ever had. I recommend anyone who is interested in purchasing anything for their XD/hs2000 to feel confident that James in an excellent business owner.
TruGlo has yet to respond to my inquiry.
There are no warnings on the product packaging or otherwise that a standard gun cleaner would ruin them. I honestly didn't think that they were just bare plastic. I figured they would have been encased in glass, or another protective barier.
Think of it like this... you're going to wash your car using a standard car wash - but careful not to get any on your tires - they will melt!
James has worked with me regarding new sights - not the same ones, but different brand completly for me. TruGlo has not offered to replace my sights under any sort of warrenty. They told james that they would repair the front sight for $15, but to fix the back and the front, it would end up costing the dealer amount for a new set of sights.
;T That (TruGlo's position) is, sadly, not anywhere close to current standards of customer service.

Here's a thread about TRUGLO's customer service:

Thanks for the info I will be carefull when I go to clean my gun with TruGlo TFO sights. I still think they are the best sights for multiple purposes and they look great on my Glock.
As far as them having crappy customer service, doesn't even phase me anymore. I live in California and everyday I see crappy customer service because nobody gives a rats butt about anything out here except for themselves. Mostly due to bad parenting or lack there of. I have become used to bad customer service and have learned to accept it. I used to spend each day trying to "put out fires" by arguing with people over petty issues but learned that it makes for a very unhappy life. Sad but true but I'm glad to see somebody else carrying the tourch of justice for awhile. Some people may suck but I still like my sights.
