On Being a New Republican
I never cared about politics,
I just went with the flow
good guys or pricks.
'Till a few months ago,
Mom gave me a Glock seventeen
Such a nice weapon so simple, pristine.
It belonged to my uncle
of the Compton PD.
It served duty for justice
in the land of the free.
This gun's not for plinking
targets or fun,
Of reasons for using this Glock
there's just one.
To protect the life of
the one's I love,
to help the Angels who are
watching above.
The liberals would take my
gun if they could,
but one piece of paper in
their way stood.
The second amendment,
the only gun law I need.
Those other gun laws come from
ignorance and greed.
There are laws against criminals,
we don't need laws against the gun.
If everyone had one, all criminals would run.
A gun is just a tool;
hammer, shovel, or knife,
each one of these item's could end someone's life,
but they don't get banned
'cause they're not as scary
as a gun in the hand of a big-bad and hairy.
Republicans lean towards the way that I see it
So I'm a Republican and I'm proud to be it.
