I was thinking about this earlier. There will be no extension to this ban right now, so CNN's poll is really an afterthought at best. This "issue" is at the forefront of the public's eye because the media is doing the alarmist Left thing. CNN is just riding the wave for ratings and the only people voting are the anti's (because the poll is pointless now). In a few months when no horrible events happen and the crime rate stays the same the average person will forget that there ever was a ban.
