The DW has been out in 10mm for some time now.
I wonder how they are holding up?
Service?
Thanks.

I have about 4500 rnds through my Razorback. It had some problems in the begining but has been a fantastic gun once the brake in was over. I currently have a CCO on order with them in 10mm, I cant hardly wait any longer, its been since December. Dan Wesson 1911's are among the best as far as I am concerned.

I have a Patriot and a Global Hunter (6" bbl). Only a couple hundred thru the GH so far, but close to 800 thru the Partiot with no hiccups. Not a high round count by any means, but I'm pretty happy so far ;f

I bought a Dan Wesson Razorback limited edition about 6 months ago. It had a light hammer spring. It was really easy to cock the hammer. Once in a while it would not fire due to a light hammer strike. It would also fail to eject occassionally. I sent the pistol to Triangle Shooting Sports in Corpus Christ, TX. Benny Hill did a fantastic job on it. He changed the hammer spring, throated the barrel, polished the feed ramp, tuned the extractor, and test fired 50 rds of different reloads in it for the measily sum of $125. Now it shoots anything I put in a mag for it. I think the Dan Wesson 10mm is a superb pistol and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a new 10mm.

I have a PT-EXP with a blued slide, stainless frame and adjustable sights. It's a great looking gun.

The slide is really starting to not look so good thanks to brass hitting the top of the slide, courtesy of the external extractor. DW says there is nothing can be done to correct that due to the extractor's design. Errrr.....

...other than that, good gun; great value for the money....and accurate. My gun likes Double Tap 165grain Golden Saber rounds over the 180gr., 155gr. and 135gr. loads.

If you go to DW direct for a gun....be sure NOT to purchase spare mags (Shooting Star) from DW....I bought three mags and I had to return two of them because they were defective (double feeds and failure to eject the mag from the gun). One of those two I replaced is starting to give me problems again (gun not going to slide lock)! :(

My RZ-10 has now been shot around 3000 times. After a loop to the factory for a throating job it has been 100%. No problem with my 8 magazines (all from the factory and serial numbered to my gun).

I would summarize the RZ (limited run) as a fun gun that was more expensive then it should have been but a very good performer overall.

My analysis of my 3 DW's is they are good performers for the money especially if you can get them used. Also the factory support is great if you treat them with a bit of dignity and respect.
