 You've probably seen it posted on the NonGlock forum, but I got one of the P2000sk's in 40 cal and I still can't believe how nice they are. I had never fired a LEM Type trigger before. This one is sweet! It's the V-2 With the 7.5lb to 8.5lb trigger pull.t is so smooth, it feels like it is much less than that. Also, the felt recoil is very minimal for a small gun of this Cal. My wife was shooting her S&W 38cal Lady Smith and then shot the P2000sk and told me that she thought that the P2000sk had less recoil than her gun!! I think she liked it! I was shooting 165gr gold dots at the time. Anyway, I think I see a P2000sk in 9mm, in my wife's future. Well, have fun and stay safe. I know I'm going to like this club. At last count, I had more H&K's than any other type of Auto pistol. Oh well, expensive addiction!!!;f

 Oh, I almost forgot. I can hardly wait untill H&K Comes out with a 357sig barrel for the P2000sk. Then the pistol will be perfect!!;z

Anybody know if the P2000sk will be available (pr convertible) in the fashion of the older USPc Variant 1?

(In other words, can it have the ability to be carried cocked and locked?)

 I hope this helps. The P2000 US (Full size Compact) Comes in two versions, I.E. the LEM Double Action Only, and a DA/SA version that has a decocker on the rear of the slide. I have seen & held both types. The standard trigger pull for the LEM is 7.5 to 8.5lbs. it can be modified by H&K to a 5lbs. trigger pull. The P2000sk (Subcompact) Which I own in 40cal is available only with the LEM Double Action only configuration. Mine came with the V-2 variant. It has the 7.5 to 8.5lbs. trgger pull. It can also be modified by H&K to the 5lbs. trigger. What I was told when I contacted H&K was, they only plan to offer the P2000sk with the LEM trigger. No DA/SA Variant. Well, have fun & stay Safe!;f No (Cocked & Locked) like the USPc's. ^3

Yeah, I sorta already knew that, just wanted to ask. Hope, you know. The reason I picked the USPc40 was the fact that I could carry cocked and locked. I'm only 18, so I have some time to get everything right. I love my HK USP40 compact, but it still is a little big; it is perfect for me for winter carry, but during the summer I need something smaller. I would really love a P2000sk with in variant 1 so the transition from gun to gun would be easier. It doesn't make sense why they wouldn't have the option of variant 1.

Now I have three choices:

1. Suck it up and always carry the USP compact, even during the summer.

2. Suck it up and get used to one gun being Variant 1, and the other with a LEM trigger,

3. (Less likely) Find another set of guns to carry.

Has anyone in Arizona found a good deal on one yet? I want one but there's no way I'm going to pay the $899 that Scottsdale Gun Club wants for it.

So is the P2000sk about the same size as a sub-compact Glock? Or is it smaller? In the pics they look tiny. I'm currently investigating which route to go for a sub-compact right now.

I just picked mine up today, partially because of Wade's review (thanks Wade). I got a real good deal. If you want one in 9mm call Bethany firearms. They are selling a brand new one with 3 mags for $719.00 which is an excellent deal!! His # is 203-393-1989. I didn't get my from him, he didn't have on in .40.

The p2000sk is about a .13 of an inch longer and about a .43 of an inch higher than a g26/27/33. You can get the exact specs on hk-usa.com for the p2000sk and glock.com for the g26/27/33.

I have both the G26 and the HK P2000SK in 9mm. They are both great guns. HK clearly has the edge in quality, but for the price, it better. The HK is slightly shorter in length, but longer in the grip. Overall, the G26 is smaller and fits into my front pocket easier. BTW the SK's barrel is 3.25", not the listed 2.5".

well i was told by my local store that HK didn't even make such a thing and that the USP line is no longer made at all. got to love ignorance.

well, i have the HK USP Compact in variant 1.
I plan on buying the HK P2000SK in variant 1, (whenever it comes out in .357 SIG)
so I switched my USP-C to LEM with the lighter ~5 lb trigger.
this way, whenever I pick up any HK, it will have the exact same trigger. Also, any spare mags I have will fit both guns too, so that's what i decided on.
