Anybody here knows how to modify the orig. aftermarket HK USP magwell or HK USP45 frame to make use of the well. I'm using 12-rounder magazine and want to utilize the aftermarket magwell which by the way looks cool.Thanks. :)

Sorry, I also think that's quite hard.;Q ;Q ;Q

One way to do it is to cut the bottom part of frame and to make a spacer for the hammer spring, since the supplied spacer is too short. You would have to modify the magazine's floorplate to fill the space below the magwell at the front (similar to a floorplate from a white magazine).

Not sure why you're "rolling your eyes", maybe no one was able to answer you the same day you posted? If you do a search at HKPRO, Racine had his .45 done by Bruce Gray.

Thank you guys for the response.

Esov - Modifying the frame is easy but my concern is the mainspring housing/spacer hole (pin hole). After the modification, the hole will definitely not match each other.Have you seen an improvised spacer to accommodate the hammer spring?

BinLurking - I used the rolling eyes smilies to express myself on what to do with the magwell. It's been one of my paperweights.I'm also a member at Hkpro and there's no detailed explanation on how Racine's magwell was installed except that of Esov's similar description. I hope Bruce would chime in.:) :)

Well, they way I'm considering doing it, I would have to drill a new hole for the pin. Even though a modified spacer alone would take care of the spring problem, if the jet funnel is not higher than what it would be without cutting the frame, you would have to open up the jet funnel to solve problem caused by interference with the regular mags floorplate.

Someone at HKPro made it work that way. Also, I think that he modified the floorplates on 10-round mags to work with the jet funnel without cutting the frame nor opening up the jet funnel. This is because a 10-round mag floorplate is held onto the body by its sides instead of by the bottom lip (as it happens with regular mags).

I have a jet funnel that I started modifying trying not to have to cut the frame, but I'm convinced that the best way to do it is by cutting the frame. When I find a jet funnel at a good price I think I'll give it a try.
