View Full Version : DoubleTap now has Nickel-Plated Brass!
Our Custom Headstamped nickel-plated brass made it in! We are planning on shipping all of the orders that are going out next week using this brass. This will include all ten of our premium defensive loadings.
Also, for the first time EVER, a manufacturer is making 9X25 ammo using real 9X25 brass. You guessed it, DoubleTap!
Thanks guys!

No, thank you Mike for giving us no-caca defensive ammo.
Looking forward to seeing DT .357 Sig ammo! My Steyr will be happy to see that happen.....as will I! ;f
Figures you would say that just after I ordered 500 pieces of Starline Nickle Brass. That will be a nice touch to your already great ammo. Now it won't only be the best, it will look the best!
Mike is Starline making it for you with a minimum order of 5500 pieces?

I thought that nickel-plated brass was harder on the dies and splits worse later. Either way, it sure does look cool. I always loved the look of the old Black Talon ammo with the nickel-plated case and black lubaloy coated bullet. Too bad that, nor thier fail-safe line ever lived up to its billing.
Neat Mike!
Makes it easier to find.;Q

Nickel does split quicker. Don't know about the dies.

That's one of the main reasons I like nickel plated brass. I reload and nickel is easier to see amoungst all of the tarnished range brass.
Thanks Mike. I'll be putting in an order soon.

Not in my experience. Enter Carbide dies. No issues.
Same here.
I bought about 10K new pieces of winchester 10mm nickle and have yet split one. Now The brass that I have split, which where are in the middle of the case was federal brass and remington nickle plated brass. They don't hold up for crap.
some of the winchester nickel-plated brass, that I have , are on roun #15 plus.
>nickel looks better
>easier to spot on the range floor
>clean and polish quicker
