Simple question about backgrounds.

Quick question.

How do I resize images for my desktop background without distorting them. I see lots of wallpaper that is sized 1024x768, but they will not fit my 17" screen. I don't know much about this stuff, but figureed someone here would.

first you need to know the screen area you have your monitor set to. Right click on the desktop and go the settings tab. Then see what it is set to...if you set it to 1024x768, then a pic that is sized to that will fit perfectly.

OK, thanks much, I figured it out.

Which of course, means my next question is, is there a way to keep this setting, but increse the size of the text?

Sure. R. Click the desktop and select Properties, then Appearances. Change the Font sizes.

You can also change the text size in IE by going to View-Text size.
