Harleystyles,

How do you like your State Arms gun? Was thinking of getting one and was wondering what kind of feed back you could give on it?
Will be buying a 50 in the next couple of days. STUPID CALIFORNIA BAN!!! If you could let me know.

Thanks

Hey harleystyles,

You wouldn't mind posting your reply to the forum would you? I'm also from CA and was looking at the Big Bertha.

Thanks,
Aaron

no problem. I just didn't think many people would see it due to the subject.

I have been impressed with mine so far. I bought it used with about 100 rounds thru it. If you don't mind the shell holder action I don't think you can get a better gun for the money.

I'm shooting consistantly 3/4 MOA and some down to 1/2 MOA with factory ammo. Of course I've only been able to shoot it 200 yards since i've had it

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

I've heard good things about Larry, the owner of the company. I've not had any dealings with him, as I bought mine used. But, Everyone that I have come across that has talked to him has been impressed with how he handles customer relations.

here is a pic of my latest 3 shot group at, don't laugh, 100 yards.

Ok, stupid question, what is a shell holder action? I've been searching around for a pic or description of it and have come back with zippo.

Thanks,
Aaron

I just looked quickly for a picture but no luck.

A shell holder action resembles a bolt action. However when you pull the bolt back it comes all the way out. you then slide the cartridge onto the bolt (there is a slot that the rim slides into). and then slide the whole assembly back into the gun.

It is a much shorter action than a bolt gun and just as strong.

Ah, ok, that makes sense... thanks.
