Hi All, excuse me my bad English, but I am only starting to lern Your
nice language. I like my Glock 19 and I shoot IDPA in the Czech republic. This gun is excellent, but I have some problem with the
rear visor. I have on my G meanwhile original Glock Sight in metal.
It seems to me, that the big white linie around the visor disturbs
me when I need quickly to find the front sight (bead). It is for
me a lot of white colour together. Now, when I would like to buy
Night Sights, I don't know which type to choose. The main problem
is, wheter use the rear visor with the white linie around tritium
flask or whitout. Could You, please, me anybody advice?

Is your rear sight fixed? If so, you can remove the sight and install it backwards (white outline facing towards the target). Or color the white outline with black marker pen. Problem solved.

Or you can always opt for the Heinie race cuts. Perfect for IPSC. ;)

By the way, your English is better than most of our 'natives'.

You might try "blacking" out the white line with some black fingernail polish. You wouldn't have to re-sight the gun like you would if you push the sight out and turn it around. (white line facing forward)
Just my "2 cents":wavey:

To answer the night-sight question, MOST Glock night sights have three dots, rather than the dot-outline picture of the stock plastic and steel non-night sights. Depending on the brand, the front and rear dots may or may not have a white outline (around the dot, not the sight). Many folks prefer the white outline (around the dots) for easier pick-up in daytime; some do not. The best thing would be to look at different types of night sights mounted on pistols or, if that is not possible, look at pictures on the websites of various manufacturers and sellers (Meprolight, Ameriglo, Trijicon, Heinie, Custom Glock Racing, etc.) and see which sight picture most appeals to you.

For what it's worth, I like the dot-outline picture on non-night sights and require white-outlined dots on night sights.

Wow, I'm surprised a 2-year old thread was still out there.

I don't understand the push for a black rear sight. Why have one at all? I understand front sight press. I've shot for many years. But sight alignment only works when there are sights to align. Making the rear sight invisible may to some by the equivilent of using a ghost ring...but particularly in a handgun I see it as moving in the wrong direction. This is especially true of night sights, particularly for those who don't do a lot of low light shooting, and who aren't proficient enough to index the illuminated front with the blanked out rear, naturally.

A visible front and rear is self-indexing, whereas considerable training is required to put the sights in alignment if the rear isn't right there in your sight plane when you're placing the front sight on target. At night, the front sight disapears if alignment is incorrect, and if it is correct, should be obvious...but still creates a situation in which an inexperienced shooter (like most police officers, for example) could concievably place the front sight and still miss the target entirely.
