What is your experience with these grips? Do they hold up over time? I'm considering getting a Sig P220 and slapping a set of CT grips on it right away. I want a laser unit for various reasons, and I don't want a Lasermax. My main concern here is durability and battery life. Thanks for the help.
I have just a little experience. I bought a set of the rubber overmolded CTC grips for my J-frame S&W about three months ago. Quality seems excellent, so far. I'm still on my first set (two) of batteries. Inside the grip box was a coupon good for FREE BATTERIES FOR LIFE. IIRC, this means that CTC will send you a set (two) every six months. This is about all the info I can share.
I didn't get in on the free batteries for life deal, but I find CT to be a very high quality product. Certainly worthy of my SIG-Sauer P228.

I have a set on my Beretta Brig. High quality product. Excellent customer service. Suggest you buy tape "Shots in the Dark" from CT ($25.). Self-serving but shows some of the ways to use lasers as tool. May save your life someday.

I have CTG on two of my S&W revolvers. When I got them and put them on they were pretty close to being on mark at 50'. I wanted them better than that so so I bought a laser bore sighter and tuned them in for 25 Yards. The M-625 I also tuned in the adjustable sights for the same range.
They are right on the money now the M-649 is about 3"'s low at 10 yards and right on the money at 25 yards. The M-625 is under 2"'s low at 15 yards and right on at 25 to 35 yards and is about 4 "'s low at 50 yards.
The real advantage is the point and shoot from cover quality. If you stabilize the red dot on someones chest that is where you will hit him no sighting down the barrel required. most my shooting now is point and fire. EVEN with the laser off point and fire becomes second nature in tight situations and it teaches you to trust your senses. If for no other reason that makes them worth every penny.

In the Simunitions exercise the shooter hit me in the left nipple from about ten feet as soon as his gun cleared his pocket. Barely saw his hand move BANG.

Dad has them on his Kimber Ultra Carry. We just had to r4eplace the batteries 2 or 3 weeks ago. Works better than new now. that's the only problem he's had with them is the batteries ran out, which is to be expected. It took about 3 years for them to run out. other than that, he's had no problems with them, and he pretty much swears by them. I am going to get them for my Ruger P90 as soon as they come out, and I can't wait!

Absolutely love them on my Colt 1911. Had it on there for about three years now. No wear and tear at all (carried it straight for two years and is still the carry weapon occassionally.) I'm sure... like most, I have left the light on a few times. Funny thought... I am still on the first set of batteries. Sighted up well... she will pop a hole in a quarter at 25 yards.
good luck,

I've got 5, 4 installed & a full-size 1911 set waiting for a buy or sell. CT quality is as good as the best gun quality you've ever had. I expect mine to last forever - & just try to find a report of a battery running out. The ONLY thing that's not perfect is those teeny little allen keys that you have to use to initially adjust your spot. No, I'll take that back - the other thing that's not perfect is that they're not available for every gun. Of course, there are a very few manufacturing flaws, but CT service is quick & pleasing - visit their website to read user's posts. I love 'em!

I have a G27, a Ruger MarkII and an Ar with laser grips and a set on order for my J frame and they have worked very well. I carry the G 27 as a backup on duty and when fly fishing. While fly fishing I slipped and the G 27 went under for about 20 seconds. I figured that I ruined them, that was 2 years ago and it still works fine.
