New to site and new G19 owner......

Hey everyone,
I just found the site a few days ago and I'm excited about all the knowlege to soak up that's floating around here on these guns.

I just bought my first glock, it's a G19, I bought it new, and I looking to upgrade to night sights, (either meps or trijicons)

ps I looked and I have 2183 followers, do I need to get Glock to swap them ??
Do I send them mine, and they send me upgraded ones, or will they just send me two upgraded ones ?

Try your Clintonized magazines with hollowpoint (or flatpoint) ammo, if you plan to shoot that ammo out of those magazines. If you have LRNs (or are worried about having them), replace the 2183s with easily-obtainable 9mm4s (they cost a couple of bucks from Glockmeister, et. al., or can be free at GSSF matches). You can install them yourself. OR you could contact Glock and see if they will send followers. It is quite possible that the 2183s won't cause a problem, though many of us have had problems with them.

In addition, you have an excellent option since you live in a Free State. Get yourself some standard-capacity (15 round) G19 mags! These will have 9mm4 followers if they are fairly new--and you CAN get brand-new standard-capacity mags for $25 or less.

Congrats , if you are intending to use it for CCW make sure you put at least 500 rds. through to break it in and see if there are any problems.

A good and reliable round for self defense is the Speer Gold Dot 124 gr. +P Hollowpoint.
