View Full Version : GSR trigger work
After shooting another 1911, I realized my trigger on my GSR could be a little better. Should I send it to the Sig custom shop or Actions by Teddy. I've heard good things about Teddy, but is it worth the $150? What do you pros think?
No need to spend $150 for a 1911 trigger! Find a trusted local smith. Most can do them in their sleep and have the jigs and charge around $50-$75 max.

If your trigger is not up to your or Sig's standards, call Sigarms and they will pay shipping both ways and make your trigger better, and to your satisfaction. No charge either. Their customer service is outstanding!
;?
Not to start a disagreement, but the actions by T action job is alot more than a trigger job. The entire internals of the weapon are redone. It's your money (and your life) but having had Teddy work several of my weapons, I would not go anywhere else. No $50 dollar trigger job is anything like what he does.
I have sent several people to him to get the work of trusted local gunsmiths redone.
Anyway, your decision.

Teddy does alot more than put the hammer and sear in a jig and make a few passes with a stone. All the roughness in the action is taken out and then the PROPER angles are cut and polished, giving you a trigger that breaks like "glass rod" and is 100% reliable..He also polishes the breechface and tunes the extractor, and will probably get your gun back to you within a week or two.
Who said anything about "a few passes with a stone"?
