I had a chance to handle of these rifles topped with a Swarovski 10x and must say it feels like an impressive rifle. A little steep on the price tag, but I can't afford any .50 right now so I mine as well dream big. My question is, how accurate is the rifle? I've heard conflicting reports. Most of them say that the rifle is capable of good accuracy but this is stunted with military ammunition. Is the rifle capable of MOA or sub-MOA with good ammunition or not?

According to my military sources the best group they can get using M33 Lake City ball is 2.75MOA. Now I have heard civilian shooters say they load their own ammo with AMAX bullets and get around 1.5MOA. But I have never seen one do that yet and I have owned .50's for over 10 years and have gone to dozens of matches. The inherent problem with the M82 is that the barrel moves when it is fired so you are never going to get 1MOA or better out of that design period. Its just a plinking rifle if you have money to throw at a toy.
