View Full Version : HK info....USP-C vs P2000SK
What's the difference b/t the HK USP-C and the P2000SK??? Just price? And what price diff is there? P2000 more accurate? Better to conceal? Thanks--ASUS

P2000sk is slighty smaller than Usp, has adjustable backstraps, and the slide release can be set to either side. I hear that it is not quite as accurate as the Usp and cost a little more.

The P2000SK is a subcompact, quite a bit smaller than a USP compact. The P2000 is a compact similar in size to the USP compact. The P2000,SK are fully ambidexterous (sp?). They come with a slide release on both sides. The USP does not.
The P2000 is more expensive but the prices have come down a little since its intro and I'm guessing they will come down a little more but maybe not down to equal the USP.
All Hk pistols will be accurate enough for defensive use but don't count on match grade levels.
I have the SK and have shot the USP compact. Like others have said, the SK is considerably smaller. BTW its also very accurate and well built.
SO if I am interested in the USP-C, then I need to look at (compare) the P2000....right? I love the way the USP-c feels in my hand. I've pretty much decided on .40. Other than price, (and the afore mentioned small differences)...whats the big deal over the P2000? Is it like the F150....when ford redesigned it for the 2004 model? Is that what HK is doing? ---redesigning the USP-C??? Thanks, as I do not want to "waste" $$$$$$$$ if they are virtually the same gun. Plus, I'm also looking at maybe getting my first GLOCK!!!---ASUS

I have a p2000 and my roommate has a USPC .40. I decided to go with the P2000 for a couple of reasons. First, I'm left handed/left eye dominant and the slide release is really helpful. Second, the redesigned grip felt better in my hand and is adjustable. Thirdly, I got the P2k when it first came out and actually ended up paying less for it than my roommate did for his USPC. I also prefer the redesigned rail mout for laser and for more options with the tactical light. I don't list it as a motivating factor, though, because I use it as my carry pistol and finding a holster that I really liked was tough with a tactical light mounted. I went with the high noon holster and I love it. As for the match grade shooting, I think that comment was directed at the USPC series. My USP tactical achieves some pretty impressive groups.
