I'm thinking about getting a Glock 19 :)

... but need advice....

Since there are now 3 "generations" of glock frames out there, which should I choose? The latest guns have the finger grooves, which I have yet to try,but are there any durability issues I should watch out for with the different generations,or just go by which fits best in the hand....and what's a good price for a nice used one?

You are going to be fine regardless of which generation you go with. There were some concerns over the serial numbers starting with E but even if you get one of those Glock will do a frame swap. Just make sure the gun you get feels good in your hands.

Brian is right; check out both 2nd and 3rd generation frames. There are differences in the grip geometry between the two.

I have always been against finger grooves, because they are usually spaced too far apart to fit my small hand. But Glock got it right; the first time I picked up a 3rd gen frame, I knew I had to have one.
