Hello, I am looking for a way to drastically improve my trigger pull on my USP 45.
Any suggestions on a Gunsmith, company, or instructions for this task would be greatly appreciated.
I am not looking for so much a lighter pull, just MUCH smoother. It feels like there is sand in it now, and it is clean and lubed

Thank you... Rick

I don't know of anybody who can tweak the USP trigger mechanism. Unfortunately most of the trigger mechanisms these days are designed for safety in mind than for good trigger pulls.

Single action or double action?

I think it'll probably cost you. An HK qualified armorer may be able to help you out. Two other options you may have are the Law Enforment Modification. I don' know for sure if they are putting these on civvy pistols, and it, I believe, requires your mechanism to be Double Action Only, but they are putting them on the P2000 series which is available for civilian purchase. From what I hear, it has a very nice double-action trigger pull perhaps only matched by the Para LDA. Your other option would be to invest in a match trigger group, such as that found on the USP Tactical. I have no complaints about the trigger pull on mine, though I admittedly store and carry it only cocked-and-locked and have yet to fire a single round through it double-action. Mine, in case you are wondering, is a Varient 1/2 with ambi-lever.

I'm pretty sure you can put the same adjustable trigger in a full sized USP .45 that they use in the Tactical. I have a tactical and a full sized USP and the TAC trigger is more to my liking. Try Capital City Firearms.

Yeah you can. I've seen pictures of them over at HKPRO.
