Has anyone had success supressing their G19? What are the suppressors you have tried?

I know about recoil regulating devices and what is needed to suppress the G19. I am more interested about first or even second hand experiences.

I have been looking at the Phantom and the Trinity system. I am still undecided though.

Any help would be appreciated.

John

Just out of curiosity why would anyone need a surpressed weapon, outside of being in military. I just am wondering as the reasons why sonmeone in civillian world would want and need one:)

Many reasons.

1) I intend to teach my daughter to shoot. I have a Gem Tech Outback suppressor for 22. The less noise and less concussion may help her develop better trigger control. Less flinching.

2) It is more comfortable to shoot without rolled up plugs or head phones.

3) When shooting indoors or under a covered area it is more pleasant to shoot. Less flash and concission.

4) Dispatching Coyotes and wild dogs on my dads farm is accomplished without worrying every citizen within the community.

Please everyone, I am more interested in keeping this thread on topic.

Egrah57367, if you have a question / inquiry as to why someone would want to own a suppressor, start your own post. What could you posting here, under my request for information post, do for you that you could not get by starting a new thread.

John Dorsey,
My apologies to you if this seems like a thread-hijack, but...

Egrah-
I too own suppressed weapons, legally. I do not have to justify them, I do not have to explain my desire to own them or use them. I am a law-abiding citizen of the U.S.A., and I, as possibly does John Dorsey, own them

BECAUSE I CAN

Sorry John, I guess you're more tactful than I am...

A guy we do some limited R&D for is a Class III manufacturer who would cover the paperwork part of it if I want to develop a suppressor for the G-19. I've thought about it, but it'd be alot easier to do it on a Taurus or a Baretta because the barrel doesn't tilt. Aside from that, the physics involved in the design is really straight foreward, so it's no big deal to manufacture one.
