I have a Bushy Varminter, which has a 2 stage comp. trigger. So far I havn't got used to it yet. Its got a little glitch or roughness in the first stage.Sometimes it will go right on through the first stage and not stop before the second stage, thus letting you fire prematurely.About 99 per cent of the time it fires correctly. What do you guys think about this type of trigger or the Compass Lake,or the single stage trigger like the JP?This is my first 2 stage trigger. Sniper 2003

The Bushy trigger is a knockoff of the Compass Lake design, just not quite up to Frank White's standards. You probably need to go through setup adjustments.

I prefer a single-stage trigger; ergo, my choice is the JP trigger/hammer combo.

I had a Compass Lake put in my Colt HBAR about 5 years back and am fairly well satisfied. I had exactly the same condition as you...all of a sudden I had a single stage trigger I could breathe on and it would go bang! I called Frank (actually Theresa)and told him about it. Sent the lower back and they took care of it immediately. He did not want to tell me what to adjust...he wanted to do it and will do it for the life of the trigger.

SO the Bushy is a knock off and I think if you send the entire lower to Compass Lake Engineering (719 White Drive, Alford, FLA 32420)you'll be pleased. Even if it's not an original but a knock off I'll bet you'll be pleased by the 2 stage Frank applies.
