I just finished TDSA Tulsa's AP1 (Advanced Combat Pistol 1) this past weekend. I am still thinking about the concepts/drills taught there, and am excited about continuing to practice them until I incorporate them into my muscle memory. It will require considerable retraining to unlearn some of the techniques I was taught elsewhere. There were 21 students and 7 instructors, including the owner/operator, Marshall Luton.

The quality of the instructors was awesome. Most of them (maybe all of them?) are championship shooters, having won area or division matches in one or more disciplines. I've been around a while, competed in IPSC (B Class), attended other schools (Matt Burkett, Shoot-n-iron).

The other schools were excellent for what they taught, but for pure gun handling, trigger control, rapid fire, accurate shooting, TDSA was amazing. Previously I had been taught a 50-50 grip and to ride the reset. There is a better way. There is a faster way. Don't believe it? They'll prove it before your very own eyes.

And the cost is way reasonable. $350.00 for a two day course (one 10 hour day and one 8 hour day). I attended in Sand Springs, near Tulsa, OK. Other courses are available in Missouri and Texas.

I'm just glad I was able to get in before word gets out about this remarkable value, and it gets either too busy, or they raise the prices to where they probably should be for this top-notch training.
