Today I spent about 6 hours showing a friends two boys, aged 8 and 10, all about Glocks and AR15's. They shot the irons on my RRA and then went nuts with a cheapo reddot, making that iron ring. Then I got out the G17 and my G30. The boys shot them both (with mild handloads) and were actually very accurate right from the start at 7-10 yards. I will mention here that there was not one limp wrist episode. We finished off the day shooting clays with a 20ga and then the whining started. Those kids could not get enough of the AR15 or the Glocks and I barely escaped with my life ;)

I just hope my buddy can afford to deal with this ;f

Wonderful!!!! I introduced my 8 year old daughter to a .22 and a 20 gauge this fall, and we ended up picking up an air rifle for her on the way home from the range. Now on the weekends when I ask her what she wants to do, she says "Lets go shoot, Dad." Stepmom wasn't too enamoured with me, and her mother will be livid when she hears the stories during her next visit, but you gotta get to em while their young, right? Hopefully she will be shooting an AR next summer. I HAVE to get a picture of that! Best of luck with your friend's boys!
