Anyone have any experience with either of these rifles? They are both doing the buy the lower for $300 and get the rest later thing right now. And although I think I have settled on a LAR Grizzly, I am curious to know if perhaps either of these are a better or second best choice.

Who knows, if I can get together the funds I may just buy the Grizzly and one of the others at $300 and then buy the rest later. However, somehow that may be a bad idea...hehe.

If you want a Griz I know someone that has one for sale for $1,700 (I think). If you want one you need to act fast, the deadline is just around the corner. Contact me at ar50shooter@hotmail.com

If you buy a Ferret you'll need a lower if you don't have one or you can buy one from the Mfg. The Viper is a good gun, they use to be contracted to build parts for the M99 Barrett.

I emailed Ferret on the 13th and no reply so far. Time is short and a 6 week backlog at this point may screw you.

IMHO the LAR seems a little off, I just can't get into the shellholder buttstock bullpup design. It might work great for you. I went ahead and ordered up an AR50. A little (okay, alot) more money but you gotta figure "what you gonna get next year?".

Look around and see what is actually available. It's coming down to crunch time. Good luck.

It occurs to me that this only matters in Occupied California, if you do not find yourself so afflicted then congratulations and happy shooting.;g

I ended up against the Ferret, luckily. But now I need to ask about a rifle I haven't even considered. Is the AR50 worth the $500 or so dollars more than what the Grizzly runs?

And yeah, I know I'm running up against the clock here. Lousy bans making me speed up my plans of what I want before I can easily afford it.

I went for the AR. Gonna be 2800+ by the time I'm done. Can't buy it at all by the time my next birthday rolls around so that helped the decision process. If I'm gonna say I support my local gunstore then I may as well support them a Lot!! I support California Police Equipment in San Diego. They've been great to work with over the years, no worries.

I found a sale on Impactguns the very next day. Maybe you can find someone to order from them for you?
