Yep, experience is a wonderful thing ... and even more so if young people are willing to acknowledge it and accept that someone else may have already learned things worth knowing ...

The eager, enthusiastic burning & yearning desire of youth, coupled with the exuberant anticipation of being able to "take charge" and "do the right thing", can often lead to having to rediscover lessons already learned by earlier badge carriers ... painfully ... or worse.

It's not like we haven't all been there at one time or another, though ...
