Can it take it

Still looking for digital SLR camera and like any Army guy, give me a shotput and I will find a way to tear it up.
Which digital SLR 4-8 megapixels can take some abuse. Budget is $1500.00.
Like I always tell my wife I did not tear it up on purpose it just happens.

I think all of them are fairly durable for cameras. But they are sophisticated electronics. so if you drop them or get the really wet then there are going to problems. I think the D70 is more rugged than the 300D but not as rugged as the higher end dSLR
