View Full Version : new scenario
Hey guys, recently i was thinking about different situations that might happpen while ccw, you walk into a convienience store for a snack and while you are browsing butterfingers you hear GIVE ME THE MONEY! and notice 3 ominous individuals near the front of the store and there are no more than 3 customers in the store and it is a small store, as you can tell i'm not very good at laying out scenarios, but how will you react when the s*** hits the fan?

;Q I presume the basic assumption is that all parties, including yourself, are armed?
How about: DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING UNLESS THEY RESORT TO VIOLENCE! If you can hide behind the potato chip display and do a, '911' on your cell phone that would be good, too.
You really haven’t got a problem until, either, a deadly weapon or brutal force comes into play. If someone holding a gun looks your way and makes eye contact, then, it’s time to remember the real first rule of gun fighting! ‘Never allow a violent man with a gun to get, 'the drop' on you.’ ;)

hit the deck and hide, preferably behind something that provides cover, and call the police. Don't do **** unless it gets violent
I would take cover, and draw my weapon. I would rather go ahead and have it ready to rock, that havbe to draw once its already needed. Call nine-eleven, and pray.
if the shooting starts get ready to defened yourself.
TACTICS:
1) Find Concealment
2) Find Cover
3) Attract NO ATTENTION
4) Be a good witness and as "non-threatening" as possible
5) Gun drawn and held down my leg
6) Let the BG's go unless they start shooting at me or other customers, the clerk is on his own.
That's my solution. I will only use a firearm to protect me and mine, not those in society in general. I've been through an armed robbery similar to this scenario. Others may do different, but this is my choice for the scenario.
Now I will read the other responses. Good luck.

I ran into a similar situation a number of years ago. I was in an Autozone when they used to open late buying a battery for the at the times gf car. A rather tall lanky aggetated young man comes in and demands money from the lady at the register. I quickly duck the gf and I behind the counter and place my hand upon my weapon. Well this dude for lack of a better word asks for the money gf asks if I am going to do anything, to whcih I reply, NO! Well in his attempt to ge the cash the cashier slams his hands in the drawer and he leaves writhing in pain. I was a good witness and was prepared to protect my gf and I.

I would try to find some good cover and concealment and pull my gun. If he didn't start shooting, or getting very violent I would do nothing more than dial 911.
I was at a grocery store when a BG with a pistol jumped on the counter and yelled everyone get down, there were aprox. 30 of us. The cashier got down as instructed, the BG got upset and told her to get up and open the fricking cash registar. She did then he grabbed the cash and left to a waiting car. I was 2-3 ailes from the cashier when my wife started to get down as the BG yelled I told her to get up and run out the back door. The BG seemed busy and he did not even see us. I called the police upon my exit and they arrived in 5-10 minuets but they were gone, no one got hurt. If I had it to do over again I would do the same, no need to be a hero or vigilante unless a loved one is in danger.
