Since it is safe to say that you have purchased one due to this ban I was wondering how many of you on here that live in Kalifornia have purchased a weapons since the ban or are going to....

I know that you may not want a .50 BMG... But I think that with the ability to purchase on for a mere 300 bucks it is almost a must do! There should be some many rifles that need to be registered after January 1st that it takes the 2 years to finish it. If I lived in Kali I would by 3 receivers just to piss them off....

Yes I hear you. I have put a deposit so far on two. I expect a McBros Tac-50 to arrive in about a week when the dealer gets my FFL's paper and my final payment. Who knows if the Barrett will ever arrive. I may just try and get me a Serbu or Viper at the last minute or something. I think I have another $300 to spare.

Anyone else? I pick up my first fifty at the end of the week when the ten day wait is over. I should start the DROS on my second one which is a Barrett Model 99 as it arrives tomorrow at the dealer. I may even try for another if I have any funds left after payday.

I may go out one of these days. I haven't done any rifle shooting lately but the last place I went was out in the desert with some friends. I really like it because there isn't anyone looking over my shoulder. I can miss and nobody cares!

During this time of year the places that are usually 100 degree's are perfect weather wise because it's cooler. I'll have to keep Angeles Range in mind though.

Yeah we do the desert a couple times a year, try to keep it when it's not to hot or to cold. Right now it's freakin cold, driving home from Angeles yesterday I went through a snow storm.

Heh, as 50 Shooter mentioned, I bought an EDM Windrunner. I also bought a Viper reciever and I'm trying to figure out if I want/can justify yet another one.

Maybe I am missing something, where can I buy one for $300 bucks?

Some of the Mfg's are offering just the receivers for $300, this way people stuck in the People's Republik of Kalifornia can get them in time to beat the ban. You'll still need to send them back to be finished.

Well add me to the list of those who just bought the Viper reciever. Could not find any reviews of the Ferret, plus the Viper guy got me started on my 10 day dros right away.

I wish we could get custom seiral numbers like 50KMA!!
